Amsterdam Data Collective - ADC

A group of over twenty ADC Consultants participated in a two-day internal hackathon. The goal was for them to gain an in-depth understanding of our three competence centres: Strategy & Innovation, Advanced Analytics, and Data Engineering. Each team designed, built, and brought into production a data science product focused on the challenge of encouraging consumers to make more sustainable food choices.

Joost Veenkamp (Senior Consultant): "The goal of each group was to build an open-source, scalable tool that enables supermarkets to report meaningful climate impact metrics for any possible product. The tool should lower the barrier for supermarkets to report climate impact to their customers and stimulate sustainable decision making. With relentless energy and focus, each of the five groups was able to create a functional end-to-end product!"
