today we went back to good old Windows XP to restore a DVD-master from a DLT IV tape 📼 the tape was kept in good condition so all audio- and video-assets were retrieved

72 Terabyte “dry on the hook” as they say in Holland. all data written to tape twice using different methods, safely stored and readable for the next 3 decades !!

good way to make yourself feel younger: use connectors that are 20 years older then you !
