Usually when creating a website it is wise to start with the mobile implementation first.

Therefore, we decided to design a mobile only layout for today’s challenge.

Mobile design can be quite boring with the limitations of the screen size.

We created this simple yet aesthetically pleasing layout for a documentary film about flamingos.

The heading elements spell “Documentary” and “FILM”. We thought that it is quite a nice play on the horizontal and vertical axis.

Day 21 of Ran Segall ‘s

A bit of a simpler design today. The design is based around one column.

The image shows some kind of event or festival. We thought to create a promotional page for such an event.

The larger graphic really glues the layout together.

Both the large and the small graphics are taken from thenounproject.

Day 20 of Ran Segall ‘s

Today we got this beautiful shot of a flower.

We are not entirely sure if the copy used in the layout is accurate to the flower. We just reverse image searched on Google and hoped for accurate results.

Originally we wanted to have the flower centered, taking the full width of the viewport but we were struggling to add information on the right side of the screen.

The current design seems quite balanced. We really focused on aligning elements to a 12 column grid.
