Empowering Bayelsa’s Girl Child: Community Sensitization In Tombia, Yenagoa LGA Bayelsa state.

The Voice of the Ijaw girl child initiative (VIGC), in partnership with Deborah Ebisinde Filatie Women & Children Developmental Foundation, held a community sensitization program in Tombia, Yenagoa LGA.

Highlighting concerns about the uninspiring representation of youth lifestyles, especially for girls, the initiative urged parents and leaders to protect and guide the girl child towards a responsible and meaningful future.

Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has reiterated his dedication to enhancing the quality of education within the state. This commitment was highlighted during the opening ceremony of the 11th batch of the Teachers Training Programme, organized by the Teachers Training Registration and Certification Board, headed by the Ag. Executive Chairman Dr. ( Mrs ) Stella Peremoboere Ugolo.

The initiative aims to equip educators with modern teaching modules and skills essential for revitalizing the education sector, ensuring that teachers are well-prepared to meet the demands of 21st-century learning.
