Time is money and money is time. And when you’re poor you don’t have either.
The more money you have, the more you can afford to walk away from a bad deal. The best way to get a good deal is to have little fear of walking away from it. Money creates options that you just don’t have if you’re poor - the ability to take time to make a decision, to walk away from a bad deal, or wait for the right sale or opportunity. There are no coupons that give you that. Money can’t buy happiness. But money can buy security and options. You won’t be very happy if you constantly worry about your food and shelter. Worrying over money and not being able to afford the basics consume you.
So many ways in which having enough money - and time - makes being thrifty easier.
Having enough money means when something with a long shelf life is on special, you can stock up enough to tide you over till it’s on special the next time, so you never need to pay full price. You can buy in bulk if that reduces the per unit price. If the bulk special is on something with a short shelf life, you probably know enough people who also want some so you can buy on behalf of several households and be reimbursed, so everyone saves.
Being able to patronise the same business multiple times allows you to build up a relationship that means your repeat business is worth something to the business owner, meaning you will often get opportunities or service unavailable to the person who only ever spends the minimum. Having enough money means you can afford a chest freezer, and be able to store bulk meat specials. It means you can cook multiple serves of some dishes, and parcel them into individual servings and freeze them for easy reheated meals later.
Having enough time means being able to invest in teaching your kids to help with the housekeeping and cooking, so they can contribute later, and so they learn thriftiness skills to use when they grow up, too.
Yes, you can buy happiness — especially if the money saves you time. So buy yourself some time. It's worth it.

Sticking to a Schedule - The 10,000 hours of practice.
There is a rule that says it takes 10,000 hours of practice to become an expert in something. Now 10,000 hours divided by 24 hours comes to 417 days — or 1 year 1 month 21 days. Loosen that up with time for sleep and general life, that really should come to around 3–4 years.
In that sense then, the rule is real enough — only expressed in a different way.
Bear in mind though, that 10,000 hours doing something literally doesn’t necessarily lead to professional proficiency. Much depends on the context and surrounding facts of the situation.
That means, it is not about the 10,000-hour figure. If you Spend time on something over a period of time, you will master it. Learning a high-income skill is almost like how we learn to talk. When we first learned to speak, we didn't think about learning and just tried. That's the approach one needs to bring when learning a new skill.
There are so many things that, if you just stick with now, you’ll be so proud of in the future. The problem is too many people switch too often on things just because they get hard. Stick with some things, experiment with others, but always have a few things you do each and every day. They will lead you to reap phenomenal rewards. We can all improve when we put our minds to it, but we don’t have to hold ourselves to an impossible standard.

Your Mind and YouTube work in the same way. When you watch one make-up class video, YouTube then starts recommending more make-up class videos to you. As you start watching more & more make-up class videos, your YouTube home page will become full of make-up class videos.
In the same way, when you think of one negative thought, your mind starts recommending more negative thoughts and even without realizing it, your mind becomes full of negative thoughts.
Remember, your mind is just a recommendation tool, like a computer algorithm. Which has been chosen by the evolution (at least at present) to be on fire incessantly, if you let it be.
Awareness is thus the key that helps you to identify and stop thinking negative thoughts.

A wise man once said "Work smarter, not harder". In other words, learn how to leverage other people’s knowledge as your shortcut to make a good living.
Should you work hard? Yes.
Hard work does not necessarily mean hard physical work. Hard physical work ultimate destroys the body (we all know that). On the other hand, hard mental work pays off big dividends. Work hard mentally, work smart, think always and always leverage resources already out there to enhance success (financial success is only found in working smarter and that is only found through the experience and wisdom of others).
You should also start investing your money early and smartly.
Don't forget, work hard mentally not physically. Mentally working hard rewards better than physical hard work.
Cheers 🥂
