I haven't eaten ofeakwu in a while so I decided to make it over the weekend. "Ofeakwu" is a particular delicacy owned by Nnewi people in Anambra state. It's banga stew for rice. Often times, I have seen people from different states claim they make the best ofeakwu and I will just smile.
The truth is no one make ofeakwu better than an Nnewi woman. Na dem get am🤣🤣😂. Make una no come for me oo😂😂.

Breadfruit (Ukwa) is one of the most expensive delicacies in the eastern part of Nigeria in recent years. While some enjoy eating it together with the water, some others enjoy either sieving out the water or cooking it till the water dries up. In whichever case, it's a delicious cuisine.
Unfortunately, cooking it can be challenging sometimes cos you can buy some and even after cooking for hours, it still won't get properly cooked(soft).
Here are some tricks that will help you.

✅ In any case you buy dried ones, after washing, soak in water for some hours before cooking.
✅ Then when cooking, add either ngu, potash or baking soda.
