🍭 Chapter 5 🍭

Kayla Anderson

❗ WARNING ❗ MATURE CONTENT BELOW. PLEASE DO NOT READ IF YOU'RE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH IT.

"Everything for the party is almost ready ma," my personal assistant say, going through the iPad on her hand. She swipe again, her eyes brightens as she pause her lips.

I lean forward to check what made her pause her lips, but she moves away with a frown.

"What's the matter?" I ask curiously, still leaning to see what she's hiding from me.

She shrugs, and raises her head up.

"Ronnie!" I almost snap at her.

"Aubrey Smith? Really, Kayla!" She frown at me.

I sigh, rubbing my forehead. "She asked for an invite. I had no choice," I whine, trying to convince myself that I did the right thing by inviting her over for Cara's birthday party.

"The bi: tch!" She curse, her fist clenching and unclenching.

Here is the thing, Xander always have me at heart, and have instructed my personal assistant to help me stay away from Aubrey at all cost.

Everyone believes Aubrey isn't changed yet.

But, I saw the sincerity in her eyes that day. She looks remorseful for her irritating actions in the past.

"No, don't tell me you're feeling pity for her already?" Ronnie raises her eyebrow in confusion.

"She's remorseful," I chip in, with a small smile.

"Non:sense!" She growls. "You're not being friends with that girl no more."

"She's changed. Why can't everyone believe she's changed?" I ask, slightly annoyed.

Ronnie scoff-shrug as she drops the iPad on my desk. "From what I heard, Aubrey isn't one to trust. She's dangerous. You don't need her. You have Xander, Liliana, Cara, me! You do not need Aubrey. She'll hurt you again."

I let out a shaky breath. I turn to Ronnie, who have her hands placed on her waist. "She deserves a second chance at least."

Ronnie pause. Looks at me like I'm a scarecrow. She's obviously shocked at my response.

"I'm calling Xander," she picks up her phone and begins to dial a number.

I jump out of my chair and grab her phone. "I don't want Xander knowing yet. He wouldn't take the news lightly."

"Okay." She clicks her tongue. "I'll go back to my office now." She gives me a little smile before walking away.

I sink into my chair. Everything is already confusing me.

God knows I really want to give Aubrey a second chance.

Everyone deserves a second chance. We can't use a huge mistake from someone's past to judge their present selves, especially when the person is changed.

Aubrey is remorseful. Just few minutes with her that day showed me that she really is remorseful. She just need a second chance. She need everyone's trust again.

"I don't see anything wrong in giving her a second chance," Liliana says as she places a mug of coffee in front of me.

My eyes lit up. At least someone understands me now.

She draws out a chair from the coffee table, opposite mine and sits. "But, you really should be careful. Your personal life should be your personal life. Do not trust her too much."

I take a sip from my coffee and swallows. "I get. I'll be one hundred percent careful."

"Good. You shouldn't trust her with your child too. I don't want her taking Cara away," Liliana pauses, blinks and shakes her head. A small laugh escapes her lips. "Sorry. I'm just overthinking things. She really put things in my head."

"It's okay. I don't think she'll ever want to hurt Cara. By the way, she's remorseful now and wouldn't want to do anything to ruin the trust I have for her no more." I respond, bringing my cup up to my lips.

"Cool."

"Mmhmm. I think I should go home to Xander. Cara is at Stella's," I say, picking up my shoes from the floor.

"So should we be expecting baby number two?" Liliana smirks at me.

I raise my head up to look at her with a small smile. "Cara is just one."

"Okay. I'll be expecting another from you. But a boy this time around," she jokes, a silly smirk playing on her lips.

I shake my head as a small chuckle on my lips. Picking up my coffee mug, I down all of the remaining contents. "Okay, Lili. Take care of yourself. I'll call you when I get home."
I kiss her cheeks, engulf her in a hug and hurry to my car.

My heartbeat increases as he trails his fingers on my back. I bit my bottom lips, when his lips come in contact with my neck.

"Xander," I moan, gripping the bedsheet as he rolls his tongue on my neck.

He turns me around, pressing me against his chest. I hear his heartbeat racing faster than usual.

"You're the most beautiful woman I've seen," he whispers in my ears.

I close my eyes, a smile crosses my face.

He pushes me gently on the bed and reaches for my bra. He's quick to unbuckle it and fling it across the room. He stops, stare at my bare breast and to my face. A smile is plastered on his face.

Bending down, he grabs my left breast and squeeze it softly.

A soft moan escapes my lips. I grab the bedsheet tighter when he needs down to play with my ni***es with his tongue.

Every lick, bite, sends a warm feeling down my spine.

I couldn't hold myself back from moaning.

"I love you, Kayla."

"I love you too, Xander."

He parts my legs and goes down.

My breath quickens as his wet tongue come in contact with my dripping wet p:ussy.

He doesn't stop. He licks, sucks, continuously.

All that can be heard is my loud moan that I am sure will he echoing in the house by now.

"Please don't stop," I beg him as he slows down.

He quickens his pace, sucking roughly till I cm on his face.

He reaches out for the drawer, pulls it open and takes out a con:dom.

"Trying to avoid having baby number two?" I joke as I watch him wear the con:dom.

"Exactly. Cara is still little."

"It wouldn't be bad though."

"I know. But we should take a chill pill till Cara is three."

"Okay."

He bends down and touches my face. He place a small kiss on my lips before patting my legs.

Slowly, he goes deep inside of me, with me moaning so loudly.

🍭 Chapter 2 🍭

Kayla Anderson

Pulling into Lilliana's driveway, I take out the box of doughnuts I got from her favourite doughnut store.

Instead of ringing the doorbell like every other human, I push it open and walk in.

I can perceive the sweet aroma of sushi coming from the kitchen. Hungrily, I jog to the kitchen. "Hey Lili."

Startled. She jumps up in fear, almost throwing a jar of Nutella at me. "Kayla! Jeez, you scared me!" She throws dagger at me before facing her sushi.

"Sorry. Can I have some? I'm so hungry."

Without her replying, I pick a sushi and throw it into my mouth.

"Why are you acting like you haven't eaten all day?" She throws me a suspicious look.

Xander have been cooking recently. He did try last night, but the breakfast he made this morning was so, so irritating to eat. I couldn't stand it. "Xander cooked," my lips presses into a thin line.

A soft laugh escapes Lilliana's lips. I throw her a look, causing her to hold back her laughter.

"What's up with you? You good now?" My eyes scan her. She look not too okay to me.

She shrugs, eyes on her sushi. "Do I not look okay to you?" She raise her brow at me. I know she is trying to act strong, but faking it wouldn't help. It will keep hurting her.

I pause, and look at her. "I remember your exact words when Austin had broken up with me," I pause, reminiscing on that day. "You said I should scream to the universe. I should cry when necessary. I shouldn't bottle up my feelings. Why can't you do the same for yourself?"

Sucking in a breath, she slumps on the kitchen table. "It's so hard. I fell too hard. I should've seen this coming a long time ago." She cry into her palm, her shoulder shaking.

I rub her back continuously. "You'll be fine," I hope so.

Dylan and Liliana had been going smoothly, no doubt. They look so in love that at a point, I began to wish we could switch bodies, not partners.

Regardless, I was content with my man.

Their relationship looked so perfect.

What could have broken them up.

She wipes her tears off with the back of her palm, a small smile on her face. "I miss him, but he's still a du***ss for dumping me."

I laugh. "Right. Maybe we should beat him up." I rub my chin, pretending to be thinking deeply.

"Ugh. You're too violent. How's Cara?" She asks, as we walk to the living room.

"She's good. I left her with the nanny. I'm sure she would be terrified seeing your current state," I send Liliana a smile, knowing she'll freak out soon.

One thing she cared so much about was her look. She never want to be caught not looking so beautiful or clean.

"Aww. I can't wait to see her and pull her soft cheeks." She grin.

I shrug and place the box of doughnut on her living room table. "Here. I couldn't come without a gift to make you feel better."

"Thanks Kayla, you're amazing."

Silence engulfs us as she munch on her doughnut. I can see the way her eyes sparkles. Making her happy was my aim. I am fulfilling it.

My mind rushes back to what Liliana had told me the previous day.

About Aubrey being in New York City. I want to know more.

"About Aubrey—" I begin but she cuts me off, mouthful with half eaten doughnut.

"Yeah. She's here on a vacation. You guys don't speak no more?"

Right now, I don't know the situation between me and Aubrey. We are just in between. Speaking but not as close as before. Before where we were best of friends. "We do."

"Then why doesn't she have your contact?"

I pause. Why is Liliana acting like she have no idea about the situation between Aubrey and I? It baffles me.
"We are speaking, but not as before. You know, after the Austin issue, I gave her space. I still don't trust her."

"Yeah me too. I don't trust her. Reason I held back in giving her your contact. I think you should speak to her at least. She looked like she already learnt her lessons."

I am not sure. With what happened two years ago, I can't trust Aubrey, neither can I trust Austin. They killed the trust when they began f**k.ing each other right under my nose.

But still, I still have to talk to her. At least, for the friendship we shared. "I'll see her."

"When?"

"I don't know, maybe tomorrow. I'm still unsure about speaking to her. We haven't really talked since the incident."

Liliana sits up. "More reason you should speak to her. I'm sure you have unanswered questions to ask her. Go for it. Clear your doubts."

True. I have to clear my doubts. I need answers from Aubrey. I need her to speak to me, just like old times.
"Okay. I'll call her this evening so we can link up tomorrow."

"Perfect. Be careful Kayla, I don't trust that girl so much."

Me too. I really don't trust Aubrey anymore, like I used to.

Regardless, I throw Liliana a smile. "Sure. I'll be careful."

"SURPRISE!" A voice from behind make me to jump up, almost dropping the plastic bag, filled with steak and vegetables, on the floor. I hear laughter. I turn back, to see my baby brother, Liam holding his stomach from too much laughter.

Admist being startled, I can't help but run to pull him into a hug.

It have been six months since I last saw Liam. He is at college, and have no time to visit. I can't be more excited to see him standing in my living room, holding my baby on his left arm.

"You scared me," I slap him arm, feigning annoyance. I was angry, but not anymore. Not as I see the person standing before me.

"I missed you Kayla," he smiles, showing his teeth than have an opening on the side. It gives him perfect smiles.

"Me too," I smile back. I take my daughter from him and kiss her soft cheeks. She giggle at me. "You missed momma?" I ask, as I tickle her sides.

She begin to giggle, her blue eyes sparkling brightly. "Momma loves you."

"I love you too," she reply in a baby voice, her words not coming out correctly.

I smile at her.

My daughter, Cara. My bundle of joy.

"Why are you home early?" I ask Liam, as we walk to the kitchen.

"Because I missed you guys. Ain't you happy to see me?" He asks, his voice sounding a bit hurt.

I dump the grocery bag on the counter and turn to him. "I'm more than happy, it's just that, I was expecting you in two weeks time, you know, for Cara's two-year birthday."

"That. I'll be staying at Oak Hill for the next one month before I leave."

"Why?"

He shakes his head and takes a seat by the coffee table. "There's something like a break from college, Kayla. We're on break."

I roll my eyes at him. "Okay."

"I'll be leaving tomorrow. I miss mum, and Lisa," he drags the last name.

Lisa.

I smile inwardly. My brother is head over heels for Lisa. They've been dating for over a year, and it's been going smoothly for them.

"I miss her so much."

"I know you do," I wink at him as I reach for a pan.

We chitchat about other things. All the while, avoiding to mention Aubrey and Austin. I am glad Liam understand I never want their names to be mentioned around me.

I don't hate them, not at all, but I couldn't bring myself to love them either, love them like I used to.

I want to tell Liam of Aubrey, but I keep shut. I'll only tell Xander about it. He'll understand than my brother.

Liam doesn't hate Aubrey, but a part of him couldn't bring himself to like her like before, considering the damage she caused me all in the name of being h***y.

"I'll go shower now," Liam announces, as he places Cara to stand beside me.

"Okay. I'll make dinner before you get done."

"Okay."

As Liam leaves, I pick up Cara and play with her a little, before making cereal for her to eat, while I cook.

We're meeting Aubrey soon.

For the main time, please invite friends to read.

Xoxo.

🍭 Chapter 1 🍭

Kayla Anderson

"Isn't that a little bit much?" I ask, scrunching my face up in disgust.

News flash, Xander made dinner for the family. Actually, it is just the both of us.

I want to run away to a restaurant or spend the night at a hotel, but he had the doors locked. He knows I'll escape if I have a chance. That is to confirm how badly he cooks. I'm excited he knows.

"Relax. It's just food," he chuckles, eyes on the plate of food he is holding. A smile is twitching on the corner of his lips. He looks proud of himself.

I have no choice but to sit on the dinning table and pretend to be happy about the food.

My eyes darts to Cara, my daughter, who is sleeping peacefully on the largest couch in the longue. I can't help but smile just by watching her.

She looks so much like Xander, unlike me, her mother!

"Eat up," Xander voice jolts me out of my thoughts. I frown, but still reach for the spoon. I say a little prayer, before chucking the spoon filled with chicken soup into my mouth.

I chew, my eyes brightens at the taste. "Wow."

"See, I told you to relax. How did I do?" He draws a chair close to me and take a piece of chicken out of my plate.

"Not bad. Way better than the last time."

"I'll take that as a compliment," he winks at me, mouth full of chicken.

I lick my lips before turning to him. "Heard from Austin yet?"

Austin and I haven't spoken for a while. I think, a year and seven months. He always come around, but never get to Xander's house, which is literally my home now. No, Xander and I are not married. We enjoy each other's company, so why not stay together and be happy?

A part of me is worried for him. Just that little part, for the time we spent together as a couple.

"Yeah. We've spoken twice this week, why?" He throws a look at me. A blank look.

I scratch my neck, trying to wave Xander away. I wasn't ready to answer any Austin related questions. I heard he has a girlfriend, I didn't want to be the ex-girlfriend to break them up. Never. Not when I have a supportive boyfriend like Xander.

"Kayla?"

"Nothing. I just wanted to be sure he's okay," I say, with a smile. Xander looks like he wants to ask more, but swallows his questions. I think it is better not asking more than that. It already feels uncomfortable just by mentioning Austin.

After we finish eating, I go to pack up the dishes, but Xander is already on it. He gives me a small smile before packing them away.

He never changed.

He is still the caring person I fell in love with.

The ringing of my phone jolts me out of my thoughts. It was beside Cara, who is sleeping soundly.

I walk to my phone. The caller ID shows Liliana. With a smile, I pick it up.

"Hey girl," I greet with a smile tugging on my lips.

"You sound excited. What's up?"

"Nothing, just had dinner. Where you at? Still at Hawaii for your vacation?" I still couldn't believe Liliana went to Hawaii without me. It hurts. So badly.

A sigh escapes her lips. "I got back few hours ago."

I rolled my eyes. She better brought something back for me. "Okay. Any problem?" I ask, feigning a nonchalant tone. That is for leaving Cara and I behind.

She laughs, as if knowing what I am up to. "I miss you."

"Don't miss me."

"I miss Cara then."

An involuntarily laugh escape my lips. "It's so good to have you back home."

"Yeah right." Silence fills the phone. I could hear her breathing from the phone. Is she okay? I open my mouth to ask, but she beat me to it. "Dylan and I broke up."

My mouth hangs open, literally taken aback by her revelation. "You guys got into a fight?"

I hear sniffling from the other end. "Not exactly. He kept acting overly weird. I approached him, and after a heated argument, he called it off." I can hear her cracked voice.

Dylan really hit a nerve. I can't help but feel sorry for her. They were going smoothly. They looked so in love with each other. Who will think them going to Hawaii will end their sweet relationship? No one.

Maybe, just maybe they did not still understand each other enough. Maybe.

A break up wasn't the answer to every couples fight.

Thinking of break ups, my mind flashes to Austin and I break-up. I remember how broken I was. It wasn't a good experience. It felt like the world was gonna end not having him with me.

Memories.

"You're gonna be okay. Do not feel depressed about it."

"Easy said than done," she spits with an edge in her voice, "I just need sometime alone. Maybe going to Hawaii together wasn't good enough."

You should've taken me! I want to tell her, but keep shut. It sounds offensive, and it's definitely not a good time to make silly jokes.

"It's good it happened now. I'm sure it would have still happened, with or without going to Hawaii."

"True. Still, I shouldn't have gone. Maybe you were a good option," she say, her voice distant a bit.

Absolutely.

"Don't regret, you'll be fine. Do you want me to speak to him?" I will literally do anything for her.

"NO!" She cuts me off. "Don't do that, I can handle myself."

"Okay. I'll come over tomorrow."

I hear her breath out. She sounds like she want some company, especially mine. "Thank you. Um Kayla?"

"Yes."

"Have you spoken to Aubrey recently?"

Aubrey?

Just her name made my heart skip a bit.

My best friend, who betrayed me. Is she still worthy enough to be called my bestfriend? Definitely not.

"No, why?" I suck in a breath, waiting for a response.

"I saw her."

"At Hawaii?"

"No. Here in New York City. She said she was on a one week vacation. She asked for your new contact."

My ears perks up. "Did you give it to her?"

"No. I took hers instead. I'll need your permission to give out your contact, especially to her."

A sigh escape my lips. I have nothing against Aubrey, not in anyway. I am just being careful. She isn't trustworthy.
"We'll talk more tomorrow."

"Okay. Goodnight."

"Goodnight, Lili. Have some rest, do not overthink."

"Sure. Bye." She hangs up immediately.

I stare at my phone as she end the call.

Aubrey in New York City? It sounds.... suspicious?

We haven't spoken for months. I had changed my number but thought it was best not to contact her.

Shaking off the thought out off my head, I go over to my daughter. I carry her up and march to her room to tuck her into her bed. After I finish, I go downstairs to meet Xander going through some files. He has a round, nerdy glasses on the top of his nose. I can't help but notice how attractive he looks with his glasses on.

"Hey," I kiss his lips, settling beside him on the couch.

A smile spread on his soft, full, lips. "Hey. I thought you went to bed without me."

I chuckle, shaking my head sideways. "No. We ain't even fighting. Why would I? I only went to tuck Cara in."

He coughs. I know he's trying to avoid having a quarrel with me. "Okay."

He takes off his glasses and pull me into his laps that I was straddling him. His fingers graze my bare skin, causing goosebumps to start forming. He kiss my shoulder softly. "You're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen." His voice is hoarsely and deep. I love it.

It turns me on.

It awakens every butterfly in my stomach.

It sends an electric current through my veins.

"Are we about to have baby number 2?" I ask with a smirk playing at the corner of my lips.

He holds back a laughter, clearly amused at my bluntness. His eyes locks with mine as he looks up at me. "I don't mind."

"It's gonna be a boy."

"Definitely."

"So are we gon—."

His lips crashes on mine, shutting me up.

I kiss him back, with my eyes closed.

It seems like we were the only people on earth. I felt safe with his arms wrapped around me.

I never want him to let go.
