Congratulations to the Golden Boy on the Golden Victory

We, in the PDP/Umo Eno Campaing Council, rejoice with the Golden Boy, Pastor Umo Eno, on his Golden Victory today at the Court of Appeal, Abuja, in the appeal filed by a defeated governorship aspirant, Mr. Akan Okon.

The validation of the previous judgment of the Federal High Court, Uyo, by the Court of Appeal today, did not come to us as a surprise. We knew all along that there was no substance in the case. The lower court said so. And now, the upper court has said so.

We note that the Court of Appeal, while dismissing Akan Okon's appeal, had mercy on him by reducing the cost awarded against him by the lower court from N15 million to N5 million. We urge the defeated aspirant to equally have mercy on himself by cutting his losses and ending his needless and unproductive judicial voyage.

Furthermore, we appeal to him to embrace the olive branch long offered by Pastor Umo Eno, the PDP Gubernatorial Candidate in Akwa Ibom State, who has repeatedly made it clear that he is ready to embrace him and work with him in the interest of the Party and the State.

Meanwhile, the PDP campaign continues tomorrow with a rally in Nsit Ibom. The Campaign Council, invites all to turn out en masse as usual for the rally.

Once again, congratulations, the Golden Boy.
