MY JOURNEY AS AN SDG ADVOCATE: FROM ACCEPTANCE TO IMPACT

It feels like just yesterday when I was inducted into the SDGs Advocate Programme (Cohort 7) a life transforming platform by SDSN Nigeria and SDSN Youth that empowers young changemakers to drive sustainable development in their communities.

What began as a vision has now evolved into a purposeful journey of learning, collaboration, and real impact. As a Co-founder of Roekif Castle, a sustainable footwear and waste to wealth initiative in Akwa Ibom State, I have had the privilege of translating ideas into tangible solutions turning waste materials into valuable, eco-friendly products that promote circular economy principles.

Today, I am honored to be speaking at the Live Event: “From Waste to Wealth. The Opportunities in the Circular Economy in Akwa Ibom State.” This session will explore how innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainability can merge to create new jobs, reduce waste, and build greener communities.

I am deeply grateful to SDSN Nigeria, SDSN Youth, and the entire SDG Advocate family for providing this platform to amplify voices that shape a better world.
