Project Go To School

One thing we have learned at Project Go To School is this: a child sitting in a classroom does not always mean a child is learning.

Many of the children we rescue have been out of school for years. After enrolling them back in school, we discovered something heartbreaking — some could barely read or write properly because they had missed so many years of education.

It was painful to see children eager to learn but struggling to catch up.

We could not ignore it.
So we organized private lessons to support them academically and help them rebuild what was lost. And by God’s grace, the lessons were successful.

We are deeply grateful to our volunteer, Mrs Chinese NSe, who gave her time to teach and support these children with patience and love. May God bless and reward you abundantly.

At Project Go To School, enrollment is important, but learning is our true goal.

This year’s theme, “Ensuring Universal Access to Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene for Every Child in Africa,” reminds us that education and healthy living go hand in hand.

A child who lacks access to clean water and proper hygiene is more likely to miss school, struggle to learn, or even drop out completely.

At Project Go To School, we do more than return children to classrooms — we help restore hope. Through school enrollment, follow-up support, and ensuring children stay engaged in learning, we are helping vulnerable children build brighter futures.

🏡 Family Visits: Strengthening the Circle of Support for Every Child 💙
At Project Go To School, we believe that a child’s success is strongest when schools, families, and communities work together.
One of the meaningful things we do is our Family Visits — special moments where we visit the homes of our children to connect with parents and guardians, understand their realities, and monitor the progress of each child.
During these visits, we: ✅ Interact with families and build stronger relationships
✅ Assess the academic and personal progress of our children
✅ Receive valuable feedback from parents and guardians
✅ Encourage parents to support homework and daily reading habits
✅ Motivate children to prepare well for tests and examinations
✅ Provide guidance on creating a supportive learning environment at home

These visits remind us that education is not only a classroom responsibility — it is a partnership. Together, we can nurture confident, disciplined, and successful children.
