There is no evidence that sitting too close to the TV can damage children's eyes. It may however, lead to temporary eye strain which can be pretty discomforting and possibly come with headaches.

On the other hand, a child having to move closer to see an object is a sign that he/she maybe having a poor vision (eg.Myopia) at the normal distance .

So schedule an appointment and get those eyes checked.

Remember you don’t even need to have an eye problem before you see your doctor.

Have a routine eye check once or twice a year👩🏽‍⚕️

DO NOT USE BREAST MILK OR URINE and STOP running from infected people.

•Avoid rubbing your eyes
•Wash your hands as often as possible
•If you contact it, make use of particle disposable tissue papers and not handkerchief so you don’t keep re-infecting your self while cleaning off the discharges
•Avoid sharing a face towel with infected person (doesn’t mean you should run or not look at the person again😂)
•This condition is self limiting and can’t be treated with the use of local medicine or any form of self medication eg. Breast milk, urine, leaf extract etc
•Visit your eye doctor for proper examination and treatment

Something you need to know, the red eyes experienced at this time of the year in the tropical region is not Apollo it’s Epidemic Keratoconjunctivitis, it has similarities with Apollo, I believe that’s why the society call it Apollo too.

Well Apollo is an Acute hemorrhagic conjunctivitis (AHC) it’s a highly contagious infection characterized by eye pain, swelling and redness (subconjunctival hemorrhages).

EPIDEMIC KERATOCONJUNCTIVITIS (EKC) is caused by a family of viruses known as adenoviruses that are responsible for an array of respiratory, gastrointestinal, and eye infections.
