Before You Start Building, Read Thisโฆ
Many people still donโt understand this:
๐๐ฝ If you want to build a house, you MUST first get your building plan, and it must be done by trained professionals, not guesswork or โroadside drawing.โ
Here are the drawings you need and the professionals in charge:
โ
Architectural Drawing โ Done by an Architect
โ
Structural Drawing โ Done by a Structural or Civil Engineer
โ
Mechanical & Electrical Drawings โ Done by MEP Engineers (if needed)
โ
Bill of Quantities (BOQ) โ Done by a Quantity Surveyor
โ
Site Supervision โ Done by a Project manager or a Builder
These drawings are not free.
๐ Every professional charges for their work, just like a tailor wonโt sew for free.
So if you give your work to a contractor or construction company, know that:
They are only responsible for what theyโre paid for, if you pay for only the architectural plan, donโt expect them to provide BOQ, structural, or approval drawings for free.
Letโs stop assuming one person will do everything for free.
โ
Respect professionals.
โ
Pay for each service.
โ
Do things properly, so your building will stand strong and legally approved.
Iklybz Construction Limited is here to guide you professionally.
WHY YOU NEED A PROFESSIONAL TO SUPERVISE YOUR BUILDING CONSTRUCTION.
1. Expertise and Experience: Building professionals, such as builders, architects, engineers, or project managers, bring specialized knowledge to ensure the design, planning, and ex*****on meet industry standards. Their experience helps in handling complex issues that may arise during construction.
2. Quality Control: A professional ensures that the materials, workmanship, and construction methods meet the required quality standards, preventing issues such as structural defects or safety hazards.
3. Regulatory Compliance: Professionals are familiar with local building codes, zoning laws, and other regulations. They ensure the project complies with legal requirements, which reduces the risk of fines, delays, or having to redo work.
4. Budget Management: A professional can help with cost estimation, resource allocation, and maintaining the budget throughout the construction process. They can also identify potential cost overruns early and implement corrective measures.
5. Time Management: Professionals can create and monitor project timelines, ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule and that delays are minimized. Their oversight helps prevent unnecessary disruptions and ensures the project progresses smoothly.
6. Problem Solving: Construction projects often encounter unexpected challenges. A professional can quickly identify problems and implement solutions, minimizing disruptions to the project timeline and cost.
7. Safety: Supervising professionals ensure that the construction site adheres to health and safety standards, reducing the risk of accidents and ensuring the well-being of workers and visitors.
A giant ๐ข ship's engine broke down and no one could repair it, so they hired a Mechanical Engineer with over 30 years of experience. โ๏ธ
He inspected the engine very carefully, from top to bottom. After seeing everything, the engineer unloaded his bag and pulled out a small hammer.
He knocked something gently. Soon, the engine came to life again. The engine has been fixed!
A week later the engineer mentioned to the ship owner that the total cost of repairing the giant ship was $20,000. ๐ฐ
"What?!" said the owner. โYou did almost nothing. Give us a detailed bill."
The Engineer replied him โThe answer is simple:โ
Tap with a hammer: $2
Know where to knock and how much to knock: $19,998. ๐ฐ
The importance of appreciating one's expertise and experience...๐ because those are the results of struggles, experiments and even tears..๐ญ๐ช
๐ If I do a job in 30 minutes โฐ it's because I spent 20 years ๐ learning how to do that in 30 minutes. You owe me for the years, not the minutes. ๐ช
