HCOMDI UNiTES Against Violence! Street Walk for 16 Days of Activism.

In powerful solidarity with the global movement, HCOMDI proudly conducted a major street walk today to commemorate the 2025 GBV 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence!

Our theme for action: "Let's UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against Women and Girls."

HCOMDI management, CBM project staff, and our dedicated Community Case Workers (CCWs) took to the streets, walking from our office to the Shehu Kangiwa Stadium (Hilin Sukuwa).

This demonstration was not just symbolic. It was a direct effort to advocate and sensitize the people on the road, within the community, and among the players at the field on the severe dangers posed by all forms of violence, with a critical focus on the growing and pervasive threat of Digital Violence.

The community heard powerful, unifying messages shared by:
The Board of Trustees Chair, The Executive Director, Our expert Protection, MHPSS, and GBV project staff.
We publicly affirmed our unwavering commitment to safeguarding women and girls.
We call on everyone to stand with us.
Let's create a safer, more respectful world both online and offline. The action starts now!

Hope in Action: CVA Redemption Brings Relief and Resilience to Displaced Families.

The Hikima Community Mobilization and Development Initiative (HCOMDI), with support from CBM, successfully conducted a Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) Redemption exercise for livestock and poultry inputs.
This intervention targeted Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and vulnerable households within host communities under the project Strengthening the Resilience of Internally Displaced Households in Host Vulnerable Communities across Gwadabawa, Kware, Wamakko, and Sokoto North Local Government Areas.

The initiative has positively impacted hundreds of beneficiaries, empowering them with livelihood support to rebuild their lives, enhance resilience, and improve household food security. Beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation, sharing stories of renewed hope and opportunities to sustain their families.

HCOMDI and CBM remain committed to strengthening community resilience, promoting peace and security, and ensuring that displaced and vulnerable households are supported to live in dignity, peace, and progress.
