In sales,
Your customer has to be 100% certain about 3 BASIC things:
1. Your product, offer or whatever you're selling.
He must be certain it will work for them
Certain it will do what you said it will do.
Certain it's the right fit for their money.
Certain they won't waste money again because
Frankly, it's likely they bought your kind of product before.
It was all hype.
Now you're selling the same stuff
Or something similar.
So in their heads, they're thinking...
"I have bought this thing before and just like the rest, this salesperson is trying to make a commission off of me. He doesn't give 2 cents about me. He's only after his money. No matter what he says I won't buy it."
You must change that conversation going on in their heads
Else you won't win.
2. He must be certain about you.
Certain you're a trustworthy person.
That you are honest, helpful and that you can be relied upon should the deal go sour.
That you're not some con master, some enthusiastic, sharp-as-a-tack salesperson who only care about himself.
If they're not sure you're a good person, they might not buy.
3. He must be certain about the company you work for
Certain that the company's product is good
That their service delivery is excellent.
That the company will stand by and help out should things go south.
That your company has enough integrity to support them when they need it.
Basically that your company cares, because
They have dealt with companies who are rude to customers and don't care how they feel.
That thing hurts!
And the moment they don't trust your company or have the slightest inkling they'll be ghosted, they'll not buy.
P.S. If you increase their certainty around these 3 things then you stand a better chance of getting them to buy
