When it comes to attaching appliques to fabrics,I'd recommend hand-stitching because it offers several advantages over using glue.Here are some key reasons why hand-stitching is often considered the best method:

📍Durability:
Hand-stitched appliques are securely attached and can withstand washing, wearing, and stretching without coming off.

📍Fabric Compatibility:
Hand-stitching is suitable for almost all types of fabrics, from delicate silks to heavy denim, without damaging the material.

📍Repairability:
If a hand-stitched applique starts to come loose, it’s relatively easy to fix with a needle and thread than apply gum which may not hold again.

In conclusion, while gumming appliques can be quick and convenient, hand-stitching offers greater durability, flexibility, and aesthetic appeal, making it the superior choice for high-quality, long-lasting appliques.

So when next you want to attach appliques to a garment, endeavour to hand-stitch them and make sure you've billed your clients very well for it,because it's time consuming and strenuous.😃😃👍👍
