WHAT IS NIGERIAN MERCHANT NAVY?
NIGERIAN MERCHANT NAVY :- Is termed as the fourth Arm forces of Nigeria that is Registered under the laws of Federal Republic of Nigeria as Merchant Navy Charitable Seafarers Care Association of Nigeria, Popularly known as MERCHANT NAVY MERNACSCAN.

THE MEANING OF MERNACSCAN:-
MER - Merchant
NA - Navy
C - Charitable
S - Seafarers
C - Care
A - Association
N - Nigeria.

MERCHANT NAVY MERNACSCAN is an International Security Organization Operating under the laws of CAMA.
Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 1990.

The organization Operates on Sea, Air and Land which makes it the SEAL of Nigeria.
And in collaboration with the Nigerian Security forces and with the succor of International bodies, Merchant Navy Mernacscan become a Global Security force.

Nigerian Merchant Navy can never be termed as a:-

* Public Liability security Company
* Ships or Seafarers
* Marine or Maritime Academy
* marine or Maritime agency
* marine Merchant
Including the Seafarers Union members are not allowed to put on MERCHANT NAVY SECURITY OUTFIT.

Note that the Name (Merchant Navy) has been registered as an NGO and is currently working with the Nigerian Government as a registered International Security Organization that operates under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

WHO IS A MERCHANT NAVY OFFICER?
A MERCHANT NAVY OFFICER is a registered Security Sea-man, who passes through QUASI MILITARY TRAINING.

WHAT ARE THE DUTIES OF A MERCHANT NAVY OFFICER:-
(1). The duties of Merchant Navy is to protect the lives and properties of the Seafarers and citizens Globally.
