WIKE, LEADER WHO UNITES - ABE

Chairman of the National Agency for the Great Green Wall ( NAGGW), Senator Magnus Ngei Abe has described Chief ( Barr) Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory ( FCT), as a leader who unite his followers and the reason why Ogoni politicians are united.

Abe made the declaration while speaking at a one-day Christmas visit of the honourable minister to Gokana local government area recently.

He recalled a case in time of a former governor of Rivers state who pitched two serving Commissioners in his own cabinet against themselves over the issue of who should produce a local government council chairman, describing it as an uncanny behaviour not worthy of emulation by a leader.

Abe went further to say that: “all of us were here in Gokana when two of our brothers who were serving commissioners, serving one master, but the man who was their boss pitched them against themselves.

“They fought each other over who should produce the next local government council chairman and their boss was using ‘divide and rule’ tactics but under Wike, we have elected chairman, vice chairman, appointed council secretary without any fight or quarrel.

“If you follow Nyesom Wike, you will not be disappointed because if you don’t have A, you will have B and if you don’t have B, you will get C. He is a leader to follow”.

The former representative of the Rivers south east senatorial district also said: “in this current political dispensation, we the Gokana people and Ogoni at large have chosen our friends. Wike and Tinubu are our friends. If they are all we have, we are contented with them. We would not look for another one.

“Every body is talking about the unity of the Ogoni political class. Today, I want to stand in front of my people to tell you why we are united. Wike is the reason why we are united because Wike is a leader that unites”.

He assured the Minister of the Federal Capital ( FCT), Nyesom Wike of the commitment and support of the Ogoni people for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

“Your Excellency, the Ogoni people will support you because you are the one that has put our people together. Anywhere you put your leg, the next sound you will hear is the sound of the foot print of the Ogoni people.

“Ogoni people are not an ungrateful people. After everything you have done for us, we cannot go to anywhere else apart from where you have asked us to go. We’ll shake the world for you,” Abe assured.
