Learning LAND AND WATER FORMS using the models (Concrete form) then they progress to learning them in abstract using the LAND AND WATER FORMS SANDPAPER CARDS. They pour the water into the places that represent water and feel the roughness of the parts that represent Land and they don't need to travel to an ISLAND, GULF, ARCHIPELAGO, PENINSULA OR CAPE to appreciate what they look like. They may never get to see a real LAKE , STRAIT, BAY, or SYSTEM OF LAKES before they can identify, and describe them. If they eventually do, then they can relate.
