So many years back,the twin children were seen as evil children in some communities in Nigeria and as such they were always killed until the advent of a Scottish missionary by name "Mary Slessor" in the19th century who helped to enlighten the people in the dark about the uniqueness, peculiarity and felicity of the twin children and this brought an abrupt end to this evil practice and believe conceived about the twin children.

The contest "face of twins Nigeria is for both MALE & FEMALE CONTESTANTS and it is aimed at celebrating all unique identical twins in Nigeria.
