CHAPTER 1

Taylor's P.O.V

"What!!! I'm fired??" I stared with wide eyes almost screaming at my manager. He nodded and took a drag from his pipe.
I took some calming breath and tried again.
" Sir, please you can't fire me. I need the money . My whole world is here" I professed with the widest smile on the planet plastered on my face. I glanced at my boss and suprisingly, he looked....scared??? Mom used to say I had the most enchanting smile a hyena can have. That's a compliment right??
" Miss James , please you're to leave the office premises in the next 15 seconds or am calling the police" He threatened reaching for his telephone. Ohhhh well then ............ I shrieked and like a woman possessed I knocked down the glass portrait he kept in his office...that felt good. I tumbled his desk and grabbed him by the collar.
"Miss Jaamm--" I took his pipe and pressed it into his neck. I laughed like a maniac while he screamed . At that moment I felt like Wonder woman or Superman
"Freeze!!!!"
Ohhhh f**k....

I bit on my nails as I stared at the clock from the bars of my cell. The time read 7:24 pm but I felt like I had stayed here for a decade....what if I teleported into another century?? into a cell ...yeah Taylor great thinking.
I sat up straight when an officer approached my cell.
" Miss James??" He asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah. That's me" I muttered . He nodded and unlocked my cell.
" You're free to go. You're manager withdrew his charges"


I sighed as I walked down my block. I froze in my steps. No no no no. My belongings were thrown outside and I mean everything which included my d***o and vi****or . Thanks for f**k Mr Landlord. I pulled my stuffs into one of the areas where crap and spare parts were dumped. I found a spot that was free and laid down . I faced upward and stared at the starless night.
" Please universe, give me an adventure" I mumbled before dosing off.

"Where do you think you are taking me to?"I ask the guy

"To your home"he said and roughly pull me out of the car

"Look,I don't know who you are but I do know that you are just trying to help me but please you gotta believe me when I tell you that I don't belong in this place"I said crying, regretting why I left the house in the first place.

He looked at me for sometime before pulling me again

"Look,why can't you just listen to me am not insane okk,I've just never left the house before in my whole 20yrs"i said and he let me go

"Are you kidding me?you're like tangled now?"he ask and I chuckle sadly

"No..I mean in a way I am,I have this sickness that will kill me if I get dirty or so,my body can't fight diseases"I finally said
He sigh

"And you expect me to believe you ?why?"he ask
My breathing became more intense than usual,I couldn't feel my legs anymore so I just fell on the floor, maybe I fainted
The whole place became dark.


"where am I"I ask sitting up

"Safe"I hear a familiar voice and look up

"Mom?"

"Yeah"and you need some rest darling

"Mom am fine"

"No,you're not,you almost got yourself killed because of what?!!you wanna see how cruel the world is?"she yell angrily

"No ..mom you don't understand nothing"I weep

"The only thing I understand is that you are never gonna be left alone in this house"she said and left

*Holly's POV*
I look around and see myself covered in a duvet

"Oh my god where am I?"I whisper to myself and get down from the bed
I walk downstairs to the direction of the noise I was hearing

"you're awake"he said all smiley as the toaster pops up and take two slices of bread out

"This...this..is your house?am in your house?"I stammered

"Yeah,we caught a movie last night remember and you were too drunk I couldn't drop you at your house alone"he said setting the table.

"This isn't what I was wearing last night"I said looking at the pj I was putting on

"Let's just forget it and have breakfast,you already have a lot on your plate today"he said

"Jeremy you took advantage of my drunk state how could you?"I say crying

"What?Holly ...wait you think I slept with you?"he ask

"you had s*x with me!!!!"I said crying and rushing out
My stomach hurt
I rush into the bathroom and take my pills from my bag

"I need to see a doctor,I cannot make the same mistakes my mother made"I said as I washed my face.




I walk into the office feeling dejected,I couldn't even look at him

All I ever wanted was to be a reporter and now am gonna have a stupid child for an it guy.
I wipe the corner of my eye and walk to Lucy's office.

"Lucy what are you doing?"I ask her

"Am packing"she said

"Lucy you can't leave your own company"I said

"I love your optimism my darling but it can get us nowhere right now...we can't fight with the government,they gave me the license to build up this media empire and if they want to take it back,they have all rights to"she said

I blink in tears as I stand there speechless
I know this is my fault
Williams is doing this because of me,he wants to teach me a lesson but am not a girl that's really easy to bend
I fold my hands into balls of rage

"I have something to take care of Lucy"I said and walked out

If I was gonna have a baby,I should at least have a job to take care of my child



"Am sorry Mr spark but she walked right through security"his assistant said

Seems like he was in the middle of a meeting

"you should all go,this meeting is cancelled"he said to all his clients.he waved his hand at his assistant to let us be

"Have a seat"he said

"I'd rather not"I said not smiling.

"you look hotter while you are angry"he said sitting down

"Now why are you even here...hohoho,I know why,you have been selected to come see reason with me"he said walking to the mini fridge in the office and getting a wine out,he poured in two cups and handed it to me

"Am not here to wine or dine at your expense!"I said angrily

"Then tell me why you are really here,am listening"he said.

"Am here because of what you are doing to Lmedia"I said

"Like I said,she sent you"he said

"Look,the plans I have for your little media parade is way beyond you,so if you're not here to warm my bed,I suggest that you get out"he said angrily

"so that's it, you are willing to fire as much civilians because of your greed for power and you won't even think twice doing it"I said with a shaking voice

"That's what you rich folks do,all you do is manipulate us because we have nothing to give to the world,I may have nothing now,I may be powerless to stop you now...but I promise you one thing
I'll be back for you and you won't like how"I said and proceed to walk out

"Nice speech,but I don't see you reaching anywhere in life..am a hundred folds ahead of you baby girl"he said

I didn't turn my back
I just walked away

Author's note:guys,am reading for my exams and that's why I've not had the chance to post for a long time now,I have also been looking for an author to manage the page until when I get back but haven't found none
I feel bad leaving the page so I forfeited my reading to type this chapter
Although it's short but it's something
