We try to maintain a ‘holy streak’, a ‘clean streak’, and ‘abstinence streak’ before coming to Jesus. It’s like taking a shower before you take a shower! We let the devil deceive us into judging our own selves. “Don’t come to God knowing you just sinned. Get clean for a couple of days/weeks, then come” -LIE! ❌ Matt.9.20 - And behold, a woman who had suffered from a flow of blood for twelve years came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His garment; [amp] The woman with the issue of blood didn’t try to get clean before coming to Jesus. We come to Jesus to get clean, because only his blood truly, can purify. So why not come as you are? Galatians 5:16 teaches us that the longer we try, the longer we stay in the loop of sin, because until you first walk in the Spirit, you will fulfill the list of the flesh! Gal.5.16 - But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).
