Leaving the pitch during a game by the Senegalese player was a clear act of disrespect to African football. FIFA and CAF need to take action. I believe both the player and the Senegalese team should be fined, as many of them acted unprofessionally. Thankfully, Sadio Mané showed true class during this situation. African football must raise its standards and do better. The coach’s apology now feels like medicine after death. Future Senegalese teams must face strict penalties to prevent this from happening again.
