NDDC
Barr. Deima Ebong succinctly puts it this way:
"The law is the bedrock of any society, and you really cannot overstate that truth."
This is precisely why the Law and Development Summit 2026 matters.
Imagine a room filled with brilliant minds - visionary leaders, accomplished legal professionals, and changemakers who refuse to accept the status quo. They are not merely gathering to talk; they are coming together to build something meaningful: a sustainable future for the Niger Delta, driven by bold ideas and practical solutions.
This summit is not about empty speeches. It is about leveraging the law as a tool to inspire change, drive development, and create systems that work for the people.
If you care about the future of our region, this is where the blueprint is being shaped.
NDDC… Making a Difference
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), through its Directorate of Environmental Protection and Control (EPC), hosted the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Close-Out Process for 180 projects executed from 2014 and above at the Commission’s Headquarters in Port Harcourt.
The event brought together key stakeholders and development partners to strengthen environmental compliance and advance the successful close-out of projects across the Niger Delta region.
Speaking during the event, Director of EPC, Mrs. Anthonia Akpan, reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to environmental sustainability, ecological protection, and adherence to environmental regulations. She also appreciated the Federal Ministry of Environment and other partners for their continuous support and collaboration.
She reiterated that the NDDC remains committed to responsible development and sustainable transformation in the Niger Delta.
