Will your babies be resuming tomorrow?

Most parents are experiencing mixed feelings, on one hand anticipating the first day of school and on the other, calculating huge school bills that need to be paid.

However, before you jump for joy, remember that back to school also means resuming your early morning duties of getting the kids ready for school, packing lunch and loads of homework to boot.

To prevent any last-minute hassles and stress, here are a few tips to help you transition seamlessly into “back to school” activi here are a few tips to help you transition seamlessly into “back to school” activities.

🎀 INTRODUCE A BEDTIME ROUTINE
Get them back into an earlier bedtime routine and wake them at the time they will need to get up for school.
This will help them get used to the routine and reduce any arguments that may arise on the first day of school and even on subsequent days.
According to the sleep foundation preschoolers (3 to 5 years) are recommended to sleep between 10 to 13 hours daily while school-aged children (6 to 13 years) are recommended to sleep between nine to 11 hours daily.so,If normal bedtime is 8pm, let them sleep at 7.30pm.

🎀WAKING UP THE BRAIN’

After “weeks of fun” spent during the long holiday, your child may struggle to get back into the mood for school work.

To counter this, as school resumes, introduce worksheets, reading and writing activities to your kids to help them prepare for academic work.

There are learning games online that can help kids “wake up the brain” and put them in the school mood quick.

🎀 NEW TERM GOALS

Review their last term assessment reports and results to determine areas to work on with their class teacher and have a discussion with your child.

If they are starting a new school, you can have conversations with your kid’s new teacher on the areas of improvement and realistic expectations.

🎀 SCHOOL DAY ROUTINE

When school actually starts, plan out school day routines. There is a time for everything including a time to wake, eat, go to school, do homework, house chores, play and go to bed.

Preparing all the items your child will use for the next day the evening before, will bring order to your life and save you time and a whole lot of stress.

🎀 Limit the time they spend watching TV.

If most children have their ways, they would not mind spending most of their time watching cartoon. So parents should cut down, and not stop, the time their children spend on the television.

🎀 Let them read one book per month to boost their reading habit and skill.
Reading is the best way to enrich your child's vocabulary, and an enrich vocabulary helps your kids express themselves better, think deeper and speak right.
At any level, reading has been identified as an ingredient for success, and it is particularly recommended for children so they could imbibe the habit as they grow up. Buy your child a book a month that is pitched at his/her reading level and request for written summary of the book, orally or in written form.read for the smaller ones...

🎀 Pay attention to their nutrition and health
🎀Pray for them and with them.

Hope this was helpful...

THE SEED

You see, some teachers are passers-by and some teachers are loyal to the core.

Today, the passer-by teachers are many in the sector but the loyal teachers are not many.

A passer-by teacher can leave a school to another school because of a token of just two thousand naira.

You see if you have a passer-by teacher, you would be frustrated.

Naturally, they have nothing to lose because they can leave at any time.

But when you see a loyal teacher, you will be glad you have one.

Let me share a story with you about a woman who had been working with a school for twelve years as an assistant teacher with her secondary school certificate.

She's loyal to the school owner to the core but she wasn't growing. There had been no real training nor additional qualification.

Her salary was nothing to write home about.

She was later advised to leave for another job.

Boom! She resumed in another school.

"What qualification do you have?" The new proprietor asked.

She said, "school certificate".

"Don't worry, I will pay for your studies. You will be starting a college of education soon."

The woman was happy. She didn't know when she began to pray for oga for his gestures.

Guess what?

She worked in that school for another five years.

There was tempting offer from other schools.

But, she didn't leave.

She was not ungrateful

She was happy that she's having NCE.

Today, she's fulfilled.

My advice is, when you see a loyal teacher who has not grown for years and you have the means, you can help such a teacher to grow.

Some teachers are ready to grow by furthering their education but have limited resources.

If you see any, kindly assist him or her. Automatically, you have sown a seed.

Sowing a seed goes a long way.

Have you sown a seed on a teacher before?

Think about it.

Look around you, you will see that someone needs that help.

Yes, you can.
