EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF BAYELSA STATE.

Dear Miracle Gov. Douye Diri,

I am glad that you and top personalities of your government are joining the celebration of the revered, most prestigious Niger Delta University @20. It is worthy to note that you celebrate its existence and and the products it has produced over the years.

Dear Diri, I am also aware that you are aware, the school you celebrate @20 has sent so many to the streets, made so many hopeless, sent so many girls into prostitution all in a bid to raise money for fees as a result of huge amount of fees imposed by school management as a result of government policies.

Dear Diri, I'm aware that you know so many parents have asked their children to withdraw, and the level of school drop out in Niger Delta University has increased tremendously over the few years. Our students can't attend classes regularly because they want to meet up, even as they hustle in various places in Amssoma.

Dear Diri, those that will advice you that the loan board is doing a good job and there is no need for bursary, are beneficiaries of it, those who are telling you the fees are no too much, did not pay up to thirty thousand naira as fees (30,000).

Dear Diri, are you not aware that the NDU you celebrate @20, its minimum fee is 130,000-150,000, while medical students pay up to 180,000-200,000?

Dear Governor Diri, you can use NDU@20 to write your name in the sands of time by making a proclamation and implementation for the reduction of fees to the most affordable amount. Do this for us, do it for Bayelsans, do it for our children yet unborn, do it for the children in the creek whose hope of a university education is NDU, do it for our parents whose love for education are working hard to send their children to acquire higher education, do it for those youths training themselves in school.
