P Cherry
As a Nigerian entrepreneur, I learnt the hard way to have various products for people of all classes and tastes. Some people like cheap others like short and revealing, some like modest, others like expensive fabric or luxury clothes.
Last year, I made my last sale of Luxury clothes in June. From July to November no sales, I had to re-strategize and add other kinds of fashion items , so I added cheaper clothes and thrifts too.
I still have my Luxury ready to wear collection from 30k and above, I sell China clothes, Aba made collection and I also sell thrift. I open bales of thrift and retailers, end users buy from me. I have never been happier as a business owner. I smile home everyday with cool cash sitting in my account everyday. I have clothes to suit every class of people.
I won't forget to add that I love the sound of daily sales and alert. Now I don't wait to sell a few clothes monthly or wait for two to three months to make a single sale. It is one thing to have premium product, it's another thing to meet customers needs. I choose to sell a product that will be hot cake and make my turn over, than to tie down my capital selling only premium.
We added Thrift
At Oil Mill market today, a woman with less than 6 months old baby came to sell before 7am. Today women are hustlers. Clock it๐
