Hon Anthony Chibuike Ilokwe, a successful entrepreneur and prominent grassroots politician, has extended a warm welcome to the good of ldeato North and Imo State as they enter 2026.The politician has also invited all Ideato indigenes to his upcoming "Question and Answer Session", organized by the People's Voice Forum.

Speaking to journalists in Imo, the CEO of Onono Master Oil & Gas and aspirant for Ideato North Constituency Seat, prayed for love, peace and progress for Imo Indigenes both at home and in diaspora all through the year 2026.

In a bid to engage with constituents and address speculation surrounding his political future, the prominent figure is set to host an interactive event in his hometown Uhualla Village in Akokwa, Ideato North on January 9th. The gathering aims to provide an opportunity for residents to have their questions answered and doubts clarified.

As a people oriented politician, while emphasizing his commitment to empowerment and development, he also announced plans to engage directly with constituents at the grassroots level. He aims to listen to their concerns, understand their needs, and address pressing challenges facing the communities.

The program according to him will feature live performances of renowned indigenous and international music icons; talkshows, comedy and a critical town hall meeting where everyone's view will be noted and question answered.

Ike-Imo's vision for credible leadership and good governance has been exemplified through his several empowerment projects and a focus on security. He has engaged with security heads, including a visit to NSCDC Commandant Basil Chinaka Igwebueze on Nov 30 and Imo Commissioner for Police, Aboki Danjuma on Dec 11, urging intensified efforts to curb insecurity in Imo.

His intervention projects and poverty alleviation efforts have won him grassroots support. His admirers are confident in his capacity to lead Ideato North to prosperity if he wins the constituency seat.

PCRC, lmo Command BERATES KILLERS OF POLICE CONSTABLE, ABDUCTORS OF ASP IN OKIGWE, lmo State

We at the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), lmo State Command, condemns in strong terms the dastard killing of a Police Constable and the abduction of an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), which took place at Okigwe-Umuahia Road, near the old Garlic area, Sunday, July 6, 2025.We at PCRC, view this act as act of barbarism, as well as sacrilege!

PCRC, therefore, most sincerely sympathize with family of the murdered officer, as well as the entire Nigeria Police Force, especially, the Imo State Command, under the watch of CP Aboki Danjuma in this trying period.

We express regret
over these killings and demand full blown investigations to uncover those behind the ugly act.We also call on the general public to cooperate with the Government and Police for more improved security measures to protect police officers and civilians as well.

However, we appeal to lmo State Government and the Nigerian Police Force to take more proactive measures towards making Okigwe a safe haven for the police and civilians to operate again.We remind those who are bent on attacking the police, that the Force has the constitutional responsibility of protecting lives and property and must be seen as friends and not foes to helping them maintain law and order who put their lives on the line to achieve that purpose for our State and society at large.
