A three-storey building under construction has collapsed in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, leaving several construction workers feared trapped.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, behind Eternal Filling Station, opposite Chief Sam Ngbor Avenue, off Peter Odili Road.

Eyewitnesses said workers were on site when the building suddenly gave way, prompting panic in the area.

Emergency responders were quickly deployed to the scene and have begun rescue operations.

The Rivers State Police Command confirmed that two persons have already been rescued and taken to the hospital, while efforts are ongoing to locate others possibly trapped.

The cause of the collapse is yet to be determined.

Before accepting any job from a client, first of all study the kind of job it is, make your your terms and conditions known to him earlier enough, if he is going to feed you and your crew include it during negotiation before payment is made, tell him the kind of food you eat and the type of drinks to provide for you people and when he should bring it to you people.
You don't show up for a job you have already been paid to do and start demanding that your client should take a flight to the moon to get you the type of food añd drinks you take.
some will even go the extent of following the cooks to the kitchen demanding for their own cooler of food and creates of drinks, some will even off there instruments because the guest are already eating but they haven't been served yet.
State your terms clear to your client before payment.
