THE WHATSAPP BRIDE.

Chika met Ada on WhatsApp. She was charming, funny, and seemed too perfect. After weeks of chatting, she asked to meet. His heart raced.

That night, he opened his apartment door. A woman in a soaked, tattered wedding dress stood in his living room. No rain had fallen.

“Surprise…” she whispered.

The veil fell. Her eyes were pure black, her smile grotesquely wide. She leaned in close and hissed, “I’ve been living in your house. Watching. Waiting.”

Chika ran to his bedroom—and froze. On his bed, his phone vibrated. A new WhatsApp message from Ada:

“You can’t run. I’m inside with you.”

The lights went out. Then he felt her cold hand brush his shoulder.

Chika hasn’t slept alone since.
