One major difference between Lithium and Tubular batteries is Depth of Discharge (DoD)—a key factor that determines how much of the battery’s capacity you can safely use.
Lithium batteries offer a DoD of up to 90–95%, meaning you can use most of the stored energy without damaging the battery.
Tubular batteries (Lead-Acid) typically allow only 50–60% DoD—going beyond that frequently can reduce lifespan.
What does this mean for you?
With lithium, you get more usable energy, longer lifespan, faster charging, and less space taken up—perfect for modern solar setups.
So when you’re planning your solar investment, remember this:
It’s not just about battery size, but how much of it you can actually use.
Thinking of upgrading your battery bank? Let’s guide you the smart way.
