LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY [LASU] RELEASES JUPEB ADMISSION FORM FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Lagos State University (LASU), through its School of Basic and Advanced Studies (LASUSBAS), has officially commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The one-year intensive programme is designed for qualified candidates seeking direct admission into 200 Level degree programmes at Lagos State University and other JUPEB-affiliated universities across Nigeria. The programme is scheduled to run from September 2026 to August 2027 and will be held at the LASUSBAS Campus, ASCON Road, Topo, Badagry, Lagos State.

Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission, applicants must possess:

A minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
Candidates must be ready to participate in the LASUSBAS qualifying examination.
Applicants invited for the examination are required to present:

National Identification Number (NIN) Slip
Birth Certificate
O’Level Result
One recent passport photograph
The names on the NIN Slip, Birth Certificate, and O’Level Result must be identical.
Awaiting results are not accepted.
Successful applicants will be required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of ₦30,000.



Transition to 200 Level
At the end of the programme, students will sit for the JUPEB examination. Candidates who successfully complete the programme will be eligible for admission into 200 Level, subject to meeting the University’s requirements.

Applicants should note that:

Successful candidates must purchase the JAMB Direct Entry (DE) Form before proceeding to 200 Level admission.
Students who fail the programme may repeat it after paying the prescribed fees.
School fees paid after admission are non-refundable, even if a student voluntarily withdraws from the programme.
How to Apply
Interested candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₦50,000 through the official LASU Foundation portal.

Application Closing Date: Friday, 4th September, 2026
Qualifying Examination: Saturday, 5th September, 2026
Time: 11:00 a.m.

Venue: LASUSBAS Campus, ASCON Road, Topo, Badagry, Lagos State.

Lectures will commence immediately after the admission process.

Candidates can choose combinations such as:

CRS/IRS – French – Literature in English
Economics – Government – Literature in English
Accounting – Economics – Government

Biology – Chemistry – Mathematics
Chemistry – Physics – Mathematics
Economics – Mathematics – Physics
Mathematics – Geography – Physics
And several other approved combinations.
Hostel and Transportation
LASU provides hostel accommodation and transportation services for students enrolled in the programme. Hostel allocation will be strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.

*IMO STATE UNIVERSITY (IMSU) Announces Date for 2026/2027 Post-UTME Reprinting*

The management of Imo State University (IMSU) has announced that the 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening slip reprinting will begin on Saturday, 18 July 2026.

All candidates who registered for the 2026/2027 IMSU Post-UTME screening are advised to reprint their screening slips from the scheduled date. The reprinted slip will contain important information, including the candidate's screening date, time, venue, and other instructions for the exercise.

Applicants should ensure they print their slips early and carefully review all the details to avoid missing their scheduled screening.
