Emily was about going to the food court, she bumped into someone. their shopping bags collided, sending fries and frappes flying.

Apologetic smiles were exchanged, but as their eyes met, a spark of recognition ignited - followed by a flash of annoyance.

" What! are you blind?, can't you watch where you are going, she bursted.

The guy didn't take it lightly with her either, seems this one is her match not Mia.

"If you weren't standing there like a dumb Ass maybe you wouldn't have bumped into me."

"You called me a dumb ass?"

"Nah i would have called you a toothless bull dog .he said ironically.

Many people were beginning to wonder if the two had a bitter past because they would have just apologize and go their separate ways.

But It was them – the two craziest, most adventurous friends from their neighborhood back then, know for their spontaneous road trips and late-night adventures.

Yet, here they stood, pretending to be strangers.

Suddenly, they burst into laughter, tears streaming down their faces.

"What are you doing here?" they asked, still chuckling.

As they hugged, the tension melted away, replaced by memories of their wild escapades.

"Jeez Saga what are u doing here, I thought you were in Mexico!" Emily asked excited.

"No, I'm back!" "What about you?"

"Just got back to spend sometime with my parents but too bad they aren't around!"she hissed.

"You know you are still clumsy", the guy laughs.

"Guess we're " Emily said. both laughs

Their laughter echoed through the mall, drawing curious glances. They didn't care – they were too busy recapturing the joy of their friendship.

The two old friends were sitting down together over some chops and juice.
Saga couldn't help staring at Emily, she had grown to a more curvy and beautiful woman.

The same Emily of yesterday that nearly got him expelled from secondary school, yes they attended a boarding school together it's for both girls and boys.

She insulted a guy and lured him to beat him on her behalf unknown to them the guy was an asthmatic person.

But thanks again to her silly lies she told the school authority that it was an harmless prank and luckily her parents negotiate on their behalf because her dad is rich.

Meet Saga a handsome light skinned guy. his chiseled features and piercings eyes gave him the look of a billionaire play boy . His crips shirt and haircut would make every woman drool over him but he's not the love type.

To him love is for the naive and weak. He had seen the darker side of human nature and have built walls against his heart.

"He stood at the front of the class hall, a figure of authority and knowledge, yet his eyes hovering for one person which is Mia.

His gaze drawn to her like a magnet, as she scribbled notes and participated in discussions. He was really captivated by her intelligence, her passion, and her beauty.

They are far more than being teacher and student, they were close buddy. He's the youngest lecturer in their school, rumors had it that he's only there to cover up for his dad who taught there but due to health issues he had to go for some break.

He started teaching last semester and Mia is the only person he loves being around with.

"So" he said as he moves closer to her. they are perhaps the only one in the hall now.

I could feel something there, I'm captivated by your beauty and intelligent and is like am starting to like you, he confessed.

"There's nothing there Mr Pauly, she said bluntly. You better get off your illusions,she turned to him with a mix of kindness and firmness in her eyes.

'I appreciate your interest, really, I do,' she said, her voice gentle but clear. 'But I need you to understand that I'm just a student, and you're my teacher. This...whatever this is, it can't happen.'

She took a step back, creating distance between them. 'I value our conversations, your guidance, but I need boundaries. okay?'

She smiled softly, but her words were laced with a quiet strength, a determination to protect herself.

He felt a pang of disappointment, but deep down, he knew she was right. He nodded, trying to hide his emotions.

"See you around sir" she left.

Emily was coming out of the salon where she had,her manicures done. A light smile flashed on her face when she saw someone, she enter her flamboyant red Camry car and rides closer to the person.

"Hi" she said. What your name?.

Mia couldn't believe her eyes, did she just speak to her. She turned around making sure she isn't mistaking.

"Com'on I'm talking to you, and see i know we didn't step on the right foot but i want to apologize, I'm sorry i shouldn't have spoken to you in that manner i was in a bad mood.

"Huh bad mood you say, you are nothing but an ungrateful soul, and a bad person. I only came to help as a good Samaritan but what did you do? I'm not even talking about the way you treated me at your home like a piece of dirt simply because you have the money.

"Well i think it's high time you use the money to buy yourself some sense.

Mia tries to walk away but get more close to her, she exhales. "You see the guy who just broke up with you i wonder how happy he's now because he it was about a hint of him to enter hell.

"You are terrible" she spat and walk away.

Emily couldn't speak a word but realization hits her and burst out.

"I was only trying to apologize and she."gawd she hit her car, she's just a waste of my God dam time with that she droves off.

A young girl about her age was coming down the stairs, she was on a conversation on the phone and she's speaking very angrily to the person on the other end.

The girl is no other person than Emily, both her and Mia were surprised to see each other again.
