Fr. Valentine - Recreating Values

*LIFE IS NOT DIFFICULT*

Life is not difficult. People are. Life was not designed by God to be too smooth without hitches and obstacles. If so, life would be meaningless. There would be no goal in life. No achievement. The spice and joy of life comes when we put heads and hands together and discover how to get water from across the ocean or under the earth to our houses, to put mortar and stones and build a shelter for our selves because even the sun and rain are helpful for us to eat. So God will not remove them, we rather build a shelter to cover our heads and belongings.

We should be sincere and open to one another and work to get round the obstacles in our own part of the earth where we stay and make sure, people eat, live, laugh, work and enjoy life in peace while navigating all obstacles as they come.

Some may not get married on time, pregnant on time, work on time, promotion on time, rich on time etc, yes, but it's not the end, it's part of the process so that we will appreciate these things whenever we see it and for those who got theirs on time, to know that they should appreciate what they have.

These in themselves are already goals in life, such that when achieved, one will be happy. But nevertheless, joy of life is momentary because not sooner than later, another problem will present itself and we keep thinking. It's the maker's design.

That's why cars company, phone companies etc. are improving daily because obstacles keep presenting themselves, needing a breakthrough.

So when next, life is difficult around you, know that all hands have to be on deck to solve that problem. God did not make us an island. We function in a community. So together, we have to navigate obstacles that life must keep throwing at us. So next time, when we pray and God performs a miracle, it is because of his mercy and love for us in our ignorance and helplessness to help ourselves and also for man to acknowledge his Omnipotence.

And so, miracles cannot be common otherwise we become weaklings because we were designed to find ways to solve our problems. That's why Caesaran Section (CS) was invented to help women who die daily from normal delivery. We would have been praying to deliver like Hebrew women and our mothers would be dying daily.

When you pray, listen to God telling you what he wants you to do. Miracles are not difficult for him but he designed life for us to keep trying and winning. That's the spice.



Fada VALues

I'm living in St. John's Parish Oba where there's a secondary school and we cannot but transfer the VALUES to them. My environment has to be VALUFIED. It was awesome today, inspiring the students and teachers. We used the time for Moral to inculcate VALUES.
