The United Kingdom branch of The Adeyemi Federal University of Education formerly called Adeyemi College of Education Ondo Alumni association, has distributed rice to students of the institution.

Responding, the Dean, Division of Student Affairs, AFUED, (Dr) Mrs. Justina Ogboru, while receiving the items, thanked the donors and promised judicious and fair distribution of the rice.
Ogboru used the occasion to appeal to other public spirited individuals, religious bodies, corporate organisations and non-governmental bodies, to emulate the donor by coming to contribute their quota to the development of the University.
Also in his contribution, the President, AFUED Student Union, Okunade Ibrahim, expressed appreciation on behalf of students of the University, noting that the gesture would go a long way in alleviating the plight of the students, in their effort at coping with high cost of food stuff in country.
The high point of the event was the distribution of the 8 bags (50 kilogrammes optimum brand parboiled rice) to the Students.
Beneficiaries of the rice distribution were 20 students each selected from the six schools in the University.
The schools include Vocational and Technical, Education, Languages, Arts and Social Sciences, Science, Early Childhood care and Primary Education.
Others who also received the rice include less priviledged individuals among who were visually impaired students.
