Adei-iza Unity Cup

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Today marks the conclusion of the Adei-iza Unity Cup Football Competition 2024, a journey filled with excitement and challenges. Unfortunately, we find ourselves in a position where Library FC has regrettably abandoned the final match, scheduled for penalty shootouts today, 20th June 2024 at 4pm. As a result, Zulu FC has been declared the deserving winner of this year's edition.

Despite this unexpected turn of events, it's important to recognize and celebrate the outstanding performances of our athletes and individuals who have made significant contributions throughout the tournament:

Firstly, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for their meticulous planning and tireless efforts in organizing this competition. Their dedication has ensured that this event ran smoothly up until this unfortunate conclusion.

To Library FC and Zulu FC, and all other participated teams for this year's edition thank you for your commitment and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Your skill and determination have captivated fans and inspired future generations of footballers.

I also commend the Kogi State Football Coaches Association (KCFCA), Okehi Referee Society, and all officials for their professionalism in officiating the matches, ensuring fairness and integrity.

A special thank you goes out to the passionate fans whose support has been unwavering. Your enthusiasm has added an electrifying atmosphere to every game.

Lastly, our gratitude extends to our esteemed sponsors and sports stakeholders whose support has been instrumental in making this competition a success.

Before I conclude, I would like to acknowledge the individual achievements:
