It was indeed an adventurous trip to ITAKPE; the journey, which commenced at about 9:35am on the 27th day of December, was a step in achieving yet another milestone.

The journey became a necessity prior to our earlier visit to the Ajaokuta Steel Company in the year 2020 to compliment the visit. A visit to ITAKPE is one amongst many that unravels knowledge about mineral deposits in our dear land.

The team arrived in ITAKPE safely. The Public Relations Officer of National Iron-Ore Mining Company, Mr. Balogun, received us warmly and invited us to the boardroom, where we were introduced to our tour guides, who were also heads of different departments of the establishment.

We went further to introduce ourselves and also state our mission for the day. We were provided with necessary briefs and then proceeded to the business of the day!
