S*X DETERMINATION
The s*x of a baby is determined by the s*x chromosomes. The female s*x cell (egg/ovum)carries the XX s*x chromosomes while the male s*x cell (sperm)carries the XY chromosomes. A baby girl is borne as a result of the fusion of X chromosome from the female and X chromosome from the male to form XX. A baby boy result from the fusion of X chromosome from the female and Y chromosome from the male to form XY.
It is important to note that the s*x of a baby is principally determined by the male, since he produces both X and Y chromosomes.
