FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE NIGER STATE COMMAND PARTICIPATES IN NDPRC 2026 STAKEHOLDERS ENGAGEMENT ON FLOOD PREPAREDNESS

The Federal Fire Service, Niger State Command, participated in the Stakeholders Engagement on the National Disaster Preparedness and Response Campaign (NDPRC) 2026 organized by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in collaboration with State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) North Central Zone.

The meeting focused on preparedness and response strategies towards anticipated flooding in vulnerable Local Government Areas of Niger State, including Lapai, Bida, Agaie, Mokwa, Mashegu, and Gurara.

Discussions centered on public sensitization, early warning dissemination, community preparedness, inter-agency collaboration, and evacuation planning aimed at preventing loss of lives and property.

As part of the resolutions reached, public awareness campaigns have commenced in parts of Zone A, Kataeregi along Bida Road, to educate residents of flood-prone communities on flood prevention and safety measures.

The Federal Fire Service Niger State Command was represented by the Head of Operations, DSF Umar Jimada. The Federal Fire Service remains committed to supporting all relevant agencies in disaster preparedness, mitigation, rescue operations, and protection of lives and property across the state.

FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE NIGER STATE COMMAND ATTENDS NEMA STAKEHOLDERS MEETING ON DISASTER MANAGEMENT AND STRATEGIC PREPAREDNESS FOR 2026

The state controller attended a stakeholders meeting organized by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) focused on disaster management and strategic preparedness for the year 2026.

The meeting provided a platform for relevant agencies to review disaster management activities, share experiences, and develop proactive strategies aimed at improving emergency response and mitigating risks across Niger State.

The State Controller, ACF Alkali DM, actively contributed to discussions centered on strengthening inter-agency collaboration and enhancing operational readiness.

In his remarks, the State Controller assured stakeholders of the Command’s readiness to effectively respond to emergencies during the season. He further stated that the Command has expanded its presence to additional local government areas within the state to ensure quicker access and improved emergency response services.
The engagement reaffirmed the commitment of stakeholders to coordinated disaster risk management and improved preparedness for future emergencies.

*CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO THE NEWLY PROMOTED OFFICERS*

The Federal Fire Service, Zone “D”, Minna, Niger State, warmly congratulates all Officers who were successfully promoted and decorated.
The ceremony, which was conducted by the Zonal Controller, *CF Bello Mustapha Kibiya*, alongside the State Controller, *AC Mohammed Danjuma Alkali*, marked a significant milestone in the careers of the promoted Officers.
A total of One Hundred and Fifteen (115) officers were promoted and decorated as follows:
*CSF – 2 officers*
*DSF – 74 officers*
*ASF I – 1 officer*
*ASF II – 38 officers*
The Federal Fire Service commends the dedication, discipline, and professionalism displayed by the promoted Officers, which earned them this well-deserved elevation. Promotion comes with greater responsibility, and it is expected that the Officers will continue to uphold the core values of the service with renewed commitment, loyalty, and efficiency.
The presence of Officers from other paramilitary agencies added dignity and strength to the occasion, reflecting the spirit of inter-agency cooperation and unity.

FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE, NIGER STATE COMMAND HOSTS NATIONAL BOARD FOR ARABIC AND ISLAMIC STUDIES (NBAIS) ON COURTESY VISIT

The Federal Fire Service, Niger State Command, today hosted the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) on a courtesy visit.

The delegation, led by the State Coordinator, Mallam Yahaya Usman, was received by the State Controller, AC Alkali DM. Both parties discussed strengthening collaboration on fire safety awareness, training, and emergency preparedness for institutions under NBAIS.

Mallam Yahaya Usman appreciated the Command’s commitment to public safety, while AC Alkali DM assured the Board of continuous support through safety education and prompt emergency response.

The Federal Fire Service, Niger State Command, remains committed to partnering with stakeholders to promote a safer environment for all.
