*Mega Farm in Ngala*

Hon Umar Mohammed visit Mega Farm project in Ngala..........

As part of the efforts towards supporting and sustaining the operation back to farm of Governor Zulum's efforts to boost food security in the state.

The Executive Chairman of Ngala Local Government Hon Umar Mohammed went to supervise the ongoing Mega farm project being sponsored by His Excellency the Borno State Governor Prof Babagana Umara Zulum here in Ngala Local Government.

while supervising the project, the chairman went round to see the level of the project and expressed their gratitude for the effort of the Engineer, Eng Jugudum Ali and his team for their job Weldon.

However, Hon Umar Mohammed emphasized the importance and useful of the ongoing project and bumper harvest is to cushion and eradicate poverty in the Area. He assured that 50 hectares of farmland prepared for planting in Gamboru pump house for rice farming and Ladari for maize farming. The Chairman also ensure by engaging the members of the community to the farming project to boost agricultural production in Ngala Local Government to eradicate hardship in the area and the state at large.

Finally Hon Umar Mohammed advised the farmers, youths, and the female gender to give more priority for the farming activities and more will benefit from this project of His Excellency Prof Babagana Umara Zulum the Executive Governor of Borno state.

*SCHOOLS SUPERVISION*

On Wednesday 03/July/2024, the executive Chairman of Ngala Local Government Hon Umar Mohammed along side with the Education Secretary Local Education Authority Ngala Babagana Modu, went for monitoring and supervision of the distributed instructional materials extended to Gamboru Ndjemena primary school, Wulgo central primary school and Gamboru central primary school respectively.

During his visit, the Executive Chairman delighted the importance of modern Education, and appreciate the effort of the Education Secretary, teachers, and the entire staff for their courage and commitment in educating the children to be leaders of tomorrow.

He stated that education is the first priority of the present administration of His Excellency Prof Babagana Umara Zulum mni and also it's the 3 cardinal set goals of his administration.

Hon Umar Mohammed also said that his council is always eager and willing to assist to further the children education concentrate with their studies, more effort commitment and determination.

While Speaking, the Education Secretary local education Authority Ngala, Babagana Modu appreciate the Chairman's visit and effort's to his commitment and willing to assist the school for further children education.

Finally, the Chairman tested the children's performance on education and commended the results is an excellent.

Dignitaries accompanied the chairman are the legislative council members and Local Government Hierarchy officers.

*LAUNCHING OF Unicef DRUGS and VOCATIONAL TRAINING MATERIALS* .........

Borno State Primary Health Care Development Board (BOSPHCDB) In partnership with UNICEF under the MINA project has donated drugs and other consumables worth millions of Naira to Ngala Local Government primary health care Department.

The donation was received by the Executive Chairman of Ngala local Government Hon Umar Mohammed from the Unicef official in person of Yusuf Gadzama and Melody Max in the presence of the LGA PHC staff and other health facility managers.

While taking over, The Chairman also thanked his Excellency Prof Babagana Umara Zulum mni, the Executive Governor of Borno State for his tireless efforts unflinching support toward restoring peace across the state,

Moreover, the Chairman also promised that his council is always committed to provide basic needs especially on medical services, and committed in identifying gabs in health sector through partnership with state government and other international Non Governmental organizations related the issues by providing support.

Hon Umar Mohammed charged all facility managers and and other health personnel to be transparent and trustworthy in discharging their responsibilities accordingly, warning that any one found wanting dealt with accordingly.

while speaking, the clinic incharge Dr Babagana Abatcha and ward incharge Nasiru M Iliya, thanked the Chairman for receiving the drugs and assured him the personnel are committed to serve better.

Hon Umar Mohammed accompanied by the clinic incharge inspected to see how their services rendering, visited patients on bed, sympathize them and supported with a little amount to ease their hardship and pray for their speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, Hon Umar Mohammed also launched the Distribution of UNDP training package to female beneficiaries in Ngala Local Government, for selected and trained skilled at the vocational training center Ngala.

The item which includes Desktop computer, tie and dye / women saloon materials being provided by UNDP in collaboration with Borno State Government to cushion hardship and eradicate poverty among the society.

The Chairman urged the beneficiaries to make use of the distributed items as the state Governor Prof Babagana Umara Zulum directed. He warned them not to sell unless for their own livelihood activity.

The exercise taken place at the Government load 2 in Gamboru facilitated by Ngala Local Government vocational Coordinator Alhaji Mustapha Ngala.

In attendance, the Legislative council members, NLG Head of departments, ward executive, women among others.

Highpoint of the occasion is the handing over of the drugs to the chairman and launching of the vocational training items.

*Flagging off of VSF Dry season input distribution*

As part of the efforts towards supporting and sustaining the operation back to farm of Governor Zulum's efforts to boost food security in the state,

The executive chairman of Ngala Local Government Hon Umar Mohammed received a delegation from the State government and victims support fund to flag off the distribution of dry season farming items being supported by the Victims support fund.

In his welcome address, the chairman charged his people to make use of the items properly and warned them not to sell. Hon Umar Mohammed thanked his Excellency Prof Babagana Umara Zulum for his effort to see that people have returned back to farming, and expressed his gratitude to victim support fund management and staff for their job Weldon.

Speaking at the event, Hon commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Engr Bawu Musami who represented the state governor Prof Zulum, accompanied the team of Victims Support Fund led by the Executive Director of VSF Prof Nana Tanko,
Expressed his profound gratitude to the victims support fund for the support towards promoting farming activities in the state. There was a proposed ongoing irrigation project and bumper harvest in Ngala which was located in various communities comprises of Gamboru pump house, Ladari village, Nuwari and Wulgo irrigation sites respectively.

He urged the farmers to make sure they used the items provided and not to sell. He further said that a monitoring team has been assigned to supervise and make sure that the items used properly.

While speaking, The executive director of Victims Support Fund Prof Nana Tanko, highlighted the event and mentioned that when they visited Gamboru Ngala in 2015 is just like a mod town, but today she really appreciate to see that a huge number of people are making their daily activities in peace in Gamboru Ngala, that shows that peace have returned back.

She also said, this program has been implemented in 2 different locations izge in Gwoza LGA and Gamboru Ngala in Ngala Local Government Area. She urged the the beneficiaries to boost food security as his Excellency always trying his best to see that people will not complain for food security in the state.

Speaking On behalf of the farmers, Sale Goni Muhammad and Aisha Abdullahi, thank Victims Support Fund and Prof Babagana Umara Zulum for items provided and they promised to used the items properly as Said. They assured that one day will become a history Insha Allah.

In attendance, The security personnel, The LG legislative council, the traditional rulers, the directors of various departments in Ngala Local Government and farmers among others.

Highlight of the event is the Handing over and flagging off the distribution of the items.
