A call has gone to the 2022 batch B stream one prospective Corps Members deployed to Kogi State to see the call to national service as a time of hope and new possibilities.

In a speech delivered on behalf of the State Coordinator Mrs M.A. Williams by the Camp Director, PCMs were called upon to see this period of national service as a time of hope and new possibilities considering the increasing rate of unemployment among Nigeria graduates. The Director noted that available statistics had shown that a sizeable number of the young graduates does not possess the practical skills needed for the available jobs in the contemporary Nigeria economy.
He stated further that it was as a result of this worrisome situation that the NYSC SAED came up with the idea of building the capacity of corps members so as to enable them gain the required experience and hands-on skills to be able to cope with the challenges of unemployment.
He noted that part of the NYSC SAED's mandate was to contribute meaningfully to the fulfillment of the SDG's protocol which is the reduction of extreme poverty and hunger among others in Nigeria.
