The Truth Begins

The next morning…
Ada visited her childhood friend Lora.
“Someone left a baby at my door,” she said nervously.
Lora laughed.
“You’re joking.”
Ada showed her the birthmark.
Lora’s smile slowly disappeared.
Her face turned pale.
Then she whispered something shocking.
“Ada… there is something I never told you.”
Ada stared at her.
“What do you mean?”
Lora started crying.
“Ten years ago… you were pregnant.”
Ada’s heart stopped.
“That’s impossible.”
But Lora continued.
“You had an accident… you lost your memory.”
“And the baby…”
Ada grabbed her arm.
“What happened to my baby?!”
Lora whispered with fear.
“They told me… the baby died.”
Ada looked down at the baby in her arms.
Her voice trembled.
“Then… who is this?”

Someone knocked on the door.
Three loud knocks.
