ABAWA UNITY AND DEVELOPMENT FORUM
We wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to Alhaji Abdullahi Jankara (Engineer AJ) over the painful loss of his beloved wife, Hajiya Hauwa Abdullahi.

Hajiya Hauwa was more than a devoted wife, she was a true companion, a woman of strength, faith, and dignity. Her gentle nature, wisdom, and unwavering support to her husband, family and community will forever remain indelible in our hearts.

Her passing is not only a loss to her husband and immediate family, but to the entire Muslim Ummah and Abawa community as a whole. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

May Allah (SWT) forgive her shortcomings, grant her Aljannatul Firdaus, and give her loved ones the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss.

Abawa Unity and Development Forum extols the Pioneer Female Academic Legend in Abawa land, Dr Salamatu Garba Gupa at the occasion of the first graduation ceremony of Madarasatul Nurul Hudal Tarbiyatul Aulad, an Islamic academy under the proprietorship of her late husband, Alhaji Ndatsu Garba, The late Etsu of Gupa Miffi today, Saturday 20th, July, 2024 in Gupa town.

In his remark, the president of the forum, Inspector Adamu Muhammad Riti of Nigerian custom service ably represented by the vice president of the forum, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu Kparike said the celebration of the female education icon is just one of the forum's ways of appreciating individuals who has excelled in their fields of endeavors and made notable contributions to the development of Abawa people.

The treasurer of the forum, ASP Adamu Suleiman Ashara said, the gift of a branded wall clock presented to Dr Salamatu Garba Gupa was in recognition of her palpable contributions to education in Abawa land, he added that Dr Salamatu Kashi as the first female Abawa to attain the apex of education (PhD) remained resolute in her determination to eradicate illiteracy amongst the female ones of Abawa with her continued advocacies for girl child education at all segments of Abawa.

The women leader of the forum, Miss. Maryam Hassan Gbedu said the forum is committed to identifying well meaning Abawa people where ever they may be and would continue to reward them for their heroic contributions.

Hajiya Dr Salamatu who said, words aren't enough to properly express her appreciations to the forum, described the forum as the trailblazer in the development of Abawa people and Abawa land, she therefore urged all Abawa people to support the forum for a brighter future of Abawa. In her words, she said, with Abawa Unity and Development Forum, I envisage a united and prosperous Abawa

Malama Maryam Hassan has been appointed the new women leader of Abawa Unity And Development Forum following the resignation of the former women leader, Malama Khadijat Chigbeza who got married on Saturday, the 12th of June 2024

Malama Khadijat relieved herself of her position to enable her face the new chapter of her life. She pledged her continued supports to the forum as a full member anytime the need may arise.
The national president of the forum, *Inspector, Mohammed Adamu Riti* while congratulating the new women leader, urged her to emulate the good deeds of her predecessor who as a woman worked tirelessly in making sure that Abawa women keyed into the developmental efforts of the forum. According to the president, Khadijat's name would forever remain indelible in Abawa nation. Khadijat was instrumental to major achievements recorded by the forum during her reign. He pointed out that her efforts in paying advocacy visits to Abawa traditional leaders, influential leaders, provision of telecom networks across Abawa land, Uniforms for pupils in some Primary Schools across the 5 wards of Azza, Revitalization of Favu Health Clinic amongst others can never be over emphasized.
Inspector Riti said, the choice of Maryam as a replacement to Khadijat was a unanimous decision of the executive committee and key decision makers of the forum, citing her proactive steps in co-coordination of women in most of the forum's activities.

In her appreciation message, the new women leader, Malama Maryam thanked the forum for considering her worthy of leading Abawa women.
Malama Maryam promised to justify the confidence reposed on her. She pointed out key priority areas of her concern, to include, encouraging girl child education, Equal representation of Abawa women in all facets of socio-economic life of Abawa amongst others.

Members of the Executive Council of the Forum today paid an advocacy visit to the Member representing Abuja South Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Abdulrahman Ajiya
(Turakin Abaji) in his office at the National Assembly Abuja where we presented an award of excellence to him as the "Ambassador of progress" of Abawa land.
The award was in recognition of his tireless efforts in propelling Abawa people towards progress in all the opportunities he had amongst other evidenced developmental projects in Abawa nation.
