ENDLESS CELEBRATIONS

“1. And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee... 2. And both Jesus was called, and his disciples...” (John 2: 1-2).

In John 1, Jesus called some of His disciples to Himself; and in John 2, He took them to a marriage feast. At a time when one would have expected Jesus to teach His disciples the rudiments of discipleship, He made it a priority to take them to a party. After the call came a party. He called them to be His own, and the next agenda in His priority list was celebration.

If you have been called by God to be His own, then you are in for a life of endless celebrations. God is calling you into more and more intimacy with Himself because He wants to cause celebrations and congratulations to happen in your life; God is calling you into a deeper communion with Himself because in Him, celebrations are not lacking.

The last celebration you had is not the last that will come your way. The God you serve causes celebrations to happen even when you may not have planned it; the God you serve prepares a table before you, without your input, in the presence of enemies of your destiny; God knows that your life needs a celebration; God will ensure that your party holds before this year ends.

Has it been a while since you celebrated or were celebrated? Get set: another party is about to hold; good news you did not plan for is about to spring forth; doors will soon be opened unto you; new levels you are not qualified for will soon come your way; new chapters of good news and celebration are being divinely opened on your behalf. Celebration is imminent.

If God be for you, get set for endless celebrations.

Psalm 23: 5 says: “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies...”

Declare: My party must hold; my celebration is imminent, in Jesus’ name!

BECOME IMPORTANT AND INDISPENSABLE

“Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria...” (2 Kings 5: 1).

Naaman was a great man with his master. Some translations say he was important to his master; he mastered the art of fighting battles so much that his master could not do without him. He rose in his craft to the extent that his master held him in high esteem. He was honorable and indispensable to his master, because of what he could do.

Come to a point where you are important to your ‘master’. Grow your craft and skills to a point where your ‘masters’ cannot do without you; grow your competence to a level where your organization can't do without you; grow your intellect and efficiency to a level where you are sought after by the kings and masters of this world; grow to a point where the value in you is important to people.

Naaman was important to the kingdom he belonged to; he was not schemed out of the army of Syria. Sometimes, your greatest security in the places you belong to is the value you bring. There are employees that some bosses will never fire; there are spouses that are so important to their partner that they can’t be easily abandoned or ignored.

When Naaman got the idea of meeting Elisha, his king wrote a letter to the king of Israel. He was important to his master, and when he had issues, his master took it personal. When you are important/useful to the masters that bear rule over you, they will take your matters personal. When you add value to bosses, clients, colleagues, etc, you will easily get value through them.

Proverbs 12: 24 says: “The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.”

May God make you important and indispensable to your generation and to people ahead of you, in Jesus’ name!
