SECURITY IN ZONE 16: POLICE OPERATIVES ARRESTED SUSPECTS FOR THE VANDALIZATION OF 132KV TRANSMISSION TOWER LINE.

Sequel to the Petition to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 16 headquarters, Yenagoa by the Honourable Commissioner of Power, Hon (Engr) Kharin Akari Komuko On behalf of Bayelsa State Government, Operatives of the Surveillance and Intelligence section under the Zonal Criminal Investigation Department, Zone 16 headquarters, Yenagoa on September 11, 2024 have arrested Fourteen (14) suspects whose names are;
1. Christopher Chimelam Onyeno 'm' 22yrs (an indigene of Imo state)
2. Chinyereugo ukommaduakolam 'm' 29yrs (an indigene of Imo state)
3. Believe Ajudu 'm' 37yrs (an indigene of Rivers State)
4. Believe Chimela 'm' 30yrs.
5. Usman Albert Odumanyuyah 'm' 50yrs (an indigene of Rivers State)
6. Newman Ejimadu 'm' 32yrs (an indigene of Rivers State)
7. Pentecost Godwin 'm' 36yrs (an indigene of Rivers State)
8. Ogbunike Morgan 'm' 20yrs (an indigene of Rivers State)
9. Julius Okpuhigwe 'm' 54yrs (an indigene of Rivers State)
10. Abubakar Umaru 'm' 26yrs (an indigene of Sokoto state)
11. Moses Stephen 'm' 26yrs (an indigene of Rivers State)
12. Emmanuel John 'm' 35yrs (an indigene of Kano State)
13. Kabiru Usman 'm' 30yrs (an indigene of Kano State)
14. Aminu Sanusi 'm' 20yrs (an indigene of Kano State)

Who are all involved in the vandalization of 132 KV Transmission Tower Line along the Ahoada-Mbiama axis of the east west road and igbogene axis in Rivers State and Bayelsa State respectively.

The suspects who have been on the wanted list of the zone for the past few months, were arrested based on credible intelligence in Rivers State.

In the course of diligent and painstaking investigation, 35mm Floor Core armoured Cables, 70mm floor core armoured Cables, 50mm SLPE Cables, Electrical pot installator, wheel spanners, cutting blades, long botts, eleven KV poles, recline cables, earth cables, be
