The Africa Public Relations and Communications Report (APCR), presented by BHM Research and Intelligence, applauds the leading agencies and firms in Africa, following the announcement of the winners and honourees of the 2022 SABRE Awards Africa by PRovoke.
The Awards ceremony set to hold on May 25, 2022 will witness 23 African public relations companies emerge as winners.
A total of 42 awards and 85 certificates will be presented to 47 African public relations firms. 23 of these organizations will get awards, and 38 will receive certificates of excellence. The Africa Public Relations and Communications Report (APCR), presented by BHM Research and Intelligence, applauds all 47 agencies on their achievements.

The coordinating Committee of the Africa PR & Comms Report (APCR) has commended the top five PR consultancies across Africa - BCW, BlackHouse Media Group (BHMG), Clockwork, Edelman and Razor for their recognition by one of the most respected communications awards in the world. These five companies from Nigeria and South Africa have been nominated in the 18th edition of PRovoke’s prestigious, SABRE Awards EMEA.
Over 400 campaigns were selected from more than 2,000 entries in this year’s keenly contested competition. The award, which recognizes superior achievement in branding, reputation and engagement, will announce the winners at The Guildhall in London on May 27. The Awards benchmark the best PR work from across the globe. This year, 10 indigenous African agencies received 21 nominations on the shortlist, with the top five vying for the ‘2022 Africa Consultancy of the Year’ honour.

Today, we announce the launch of the Africa PR and Communications Report.
We are partnering with the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA), the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), CIPR International, the International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO), Africa Communications Week (ACW), Wadds Incorporated, Plaqad Incorporated, and Magna Carta.
Starting this year, the annual report on the public relations and communications sector in Nigeria will be expanded to cover Africa. This will be the first-ever report that will cater exclusively to the PR and communications industry within the African continent.
The report will cover key locations in Africa and is scheduled to be released to the public relations and communications industry on July 16, 2022, to coincide with World PR Day.
