"WHAT IS A NATURAL MINOR SCALE?"
The natural minor scale is one of the most expressive and emotional scales in music. It gives music a melancholic, thoughtful, or mysterious feel, often used in emotional songs, movie soundtracks, and traditional music.

Unlike the major scale which sounds bright and happy, the natural minor scale feels deeper and more reflective.

🎯Formula of the Natural Minor Scale

The natural minor scale follows this pattern of whole steps (W) and half steps (H).

W – H – W – W – H – W – W

Example: C Natural Minor Scale

Let’s build the C Natural Minor Scale using the formula:

1. C
2. D (whole step)
3. E♭ (half step)
4. F (whole step)
5. G (whole step)
6. A♭ (half step)
7. B♭ (whole step)
8. C (whole step)

✅ C – D – E♭ – F – G – A♭ – B♭ – C

This is the C Natural Minor Scale, notice the three flats: E♭, A♭, and B♭. They are what give the scale its dark and emotional flavor.

Every major scale has a relative minor (same notes, different starting point).
For example:

C Major ↔ A Minor
E♭ Major ↔ C Minor
