Today, we celebrate fathers and father figures who model respect, promote safety and help build a future free from violence.

Happy Father’s Day.

Through the WARIF Education School Programme (WESP), we convened Parent-Teacher Forums at Morocco Comprehensive Junior High School, Somolu Senior High School and Angus Memorial High School, creating an opportunity for meaningful conversations around Gender-Based Violence (GBV), child protection and safeguarding.

Parents were equipped with knowledge on how to recognize signs of abuse, understand available support and referral pathways, and learn more about the impact WESP has had on their children.
Teachers also shared firsthand observations of the positive changes they have seen in students since the programme began, while strengthening their own capacity to respond appropriately to GBV-related concerns.

When schools, parents and communities work together, we create safer environments where children can learn, grow and thrive.
