dÁKẸ́ pronounced as dah-keh is a yoruba word translated as “be quiet” or “shut-up” in english language and as “Fem” in naija pidgin.

This collection is inspired by the recent strings of injustice in the nation. The continuous use of illusive speeches and distorted narratives by the leadership to downplay the plight of the people.
We simply ask that they “dÁKẸ́” and actually serve the people.

The centrepiece of this collection is a custom newsprint fabric which highlights a defiance to mediocre leadership by the sọ̀rọ̀sókè generation.

It is complemented by an infusion of batik on brocade fabrics as well as hand-painted silk fabrics both depicting the vibrant passion at the heart of each patriotic Nigerian in the face of endless disappointments.

These distinctive elements are fused together in disruptive harmony to give you the 4 dÁKÉ pieces worn by Àríkẹ́, Àjọkẹ́, Atinúkẹ́ and Àṣàkẹ́.

We hope that this collection soothes our aching hearts as we press towards change.
