HOW TO HANDWASH ANKARA.
 
Most times, we want to show the world how stylish and bold we are with our well-tailored Ankara dresses and trousers.
 
 But sometimes after wearing it for a while, its color fades and it loses all its energy and boldness.
 
This can be prevented when your Ankara fabrics are hand-washed properly and using the right method.
 
Our popular Ankara fabrics are made with 100% cotton and most of them have at least two different colors of dye.
 
The beauty of Ankara's dresses and trousers is its color so it is essential to avoid slacking, fading, or lo, ss in vibrancy.
Here is how you hand wash your Ankara fabric.
 

Avoid detergents and bleaches. Your bar soap works better for your Ankara.

 

Separate your prints by color so that the ones that their colour might bleed so that they would not discolour others of lighter colours.

 

Wash with fabric's lukewarm water and ensure to rinse it twice after washing to get all the soap out completely.

 

To seal the fabric’s colour and prevent it from bleeding, it is advisable to add salt to the water used for washing and rinsing.

 

Scrub your colours gently to avoid damaging the stitches and seams.

 

Ensure that you hang your Ankara clothes on a clothesline or lay them on a flat surface to dry.

 
 

Avoid drying under the direct sun because it also leads to fading of the fabric.
