*UPDATE ON WAEC 2026 EXAMS*

Feedback from the Waec briefing today

1. CB WASSCE has come to stay and will be carried out in phases.
2. Some papers will be in essay form while a few core subjects (4/5) will be in CBT
3. Exams will be hybrid - computer based which will be projected on computer screens and/or projectors
4. Answers booklet will be provided for essay questions
5. Exams will no longer be school based
6. Students will be moved to swapped CBT centres
7. Schools are enjoined to carry out mock examination in accordance with waec guidelines to familiarise students with hands on experience on CBT.
8. The Waec interface has been reprogrammed to accommodate existing/previous subjects...no cause for alarm on the new subjects...we were asked to update the template and continue with the former subjects for the students.
9. Other information will be communicated as and when due
10. The principal of every school is saddled with the responsibility of transporting students to their CBT Exam centre. This has been settled with the state government
11. The trade subject are not really new; their name were only change except for 2 of them that were newly introduced.
12. The students do not need any computer skill for CBT Exam as long as they can use their phone
13. All exam with written at the designated centers including practicals Schools wil take their materials there.
14. Every exam will be under surveillance. WASSCE is waging war against examination malpractice.
15. WASSCE is working hard to standardize and place high premium and recognition on her certificates.
16. The curriculum is imposed on WASSCE by the Federal Government
